Im an accountant, so if I was adding 2+2 and kept getting 6 and couldn't figure out why, then yes, people who are not accountants are in their right to tell me that 2+2 equals 4. So when Sherman keeps running up the middle out of shotgun for losses, and continues to do it, yes, people who are not offensive coordinators have the right to say, "Hey moron, guess what, its not working so try something else"

That's fair. My brother-in-law is a supervisor for the IRS in DC. How much can you teach him, and how much can he teach you?

I hope you understand my point.

RESULTS speak for themselves... and so do the numbers on this poll. You are SO in the minority here on this one.

I've always took the road less traveled. I've found out that is the best way to learn. Do the results, over the season, say the same as this one game? I think not.

True but, knowing what that is, is a different story. IF you, or anyone here, knew all the answers, you would be making millions in the NFL.

It's not as hard as you're making it. If you're the OC you know what plays you have and which situations they are designed to take advantage of. If you are getting hammered in the first half what makes you say, "hell, we'll do all that same stuff only it will work this time". No, you look at how you are getting beat and make the calls to exploit the weaknesses they create. So if Buff is killing us with the pass rush, and we can't run the ball, I know I need to go to my playbook and look in the "beat pass rush" chapter for some plays. If my playbook doesn't have that then who's fault is that? One or the other happened today, and it falls on the OC to pay for both errors.

If it ain't white, it ain't right. And I ****ing love vanilla flavor, so I'm torn on what I should choose in the poll. I remain indecisive.

That playbook is as empty as the OL. Wanna try the Wild Cat?

So now you're the expert on the Fins playbook? That was quick. But do you see where this is going? It means Sherman should go. He either doesn't have the plays or he refuses to use them. Either way he has to go. If you're a fireman and show up to a house fire I'm expecting some water. If you didn't bring any means to hook up to a hydrant or refuse to you can't be a fireman anymore.

What could he have done differently? Running wasnt working, they got pressure on quick passes. 3 step drops. You guys overreact, last week he was great, masterful really. Sherman isnt the issue, if the oline stinks you are crippled

Check out my post #21.

Shermin served his uselessness helping to pick Tannehill and getting him up to NFL speed. At this point, Shermin's limitations as a OC are holding the team back. Fire him.

Well trying the same thing over and over didn't work. Sherman has done this before. He simply can't make adjustments. When the defense disrupts his gameplan he panics (or at least can't figure out a solution). This is not the type of play caller that will do well in the post season.

Number 1 priority that needs to be replaced. Yes even bigger than the oline. A coach that refuses to get creative or change a game plan is a bigger problem. I understand that the talent lacks on the oline but the run game wasn't working and no screen attempts or moving pockets were called. Hell run the wildcat, run a reverse just do something. He's too predictable when he shouldn't be and not predictable enough when he should. 3rd and shorts and he still hasn't learned a qb sneak or fb dive. 3rd in 2 or 3 how many runs have we seen? None that I can remember? Idc if you have to run the wildcat just try something instead of being a firm believer in if I try something so many times, it has to work sometime.

My favorite plays are the wide sweeps we run on 3rd and inches or the fade routes from shotgun on 3rd and 1. Seriously, are we the only team in the entire nfl that does this?

I don't know about firing him, but he called a bad game considering the weather and field conditions. He's got to call a different game under those circumstances, and we showed up like it was 80 degrees and sunny out with a dry field and ball, and he just ran our bread and butter plays all day. And the blocking scheme was terrible (not sure if this was Tannehill or Sherman's call) - if they rush 4, then you need more receivers, not extra blockers. We had 3 receivers going against 7 defensive backs all day. We arent going to create any mismatches like that. I can tell we went into that game very afraid of the Bills' DL, and we overcompensated and still lost that battle. You can beat a good DL with more receivers, and not necessarily more blockers.

I'm sorry, but when you are shut out, get only 103 total yards (14 rushing) & only 6 first downs the whole game against Buffalo, you have a serious problem on your hands! while Buffalo doesn't have a bad defense, it's not like this was Seattle or SF at home, but Buffalo. How we can play so well against teams like the Pats, Cincy, Indy, etc. but lose to the marginal teams and then this . . . . . .
You can somewhat blame the players, but the coaches call the game and are supposed to make sure the players are ready to go and execute.
