Tannenbaum - The Suh deal alone was enough to justify this guys departure. Oh and the Sports Science stuff. Lmao

Wake - Ring of Honor 100% but he’s past his time and the production don’t equal the pay

Tannehill - I’m still a believer but at some point you gotta think it’s time for the next guy

Burke - The Wide 9! Can’t stop a screen, can’t figure out how to stop TEs, just rush your edge guys up field and watch everyone gash you

Gase - Phonebooth offense. Just so over it.

I’m sure there are others that could be justified.
 
Wake stays. Play him as a situational pass rusher. It’s not as if he’s ever broken the bank even when he deserved it. He had knee surgery about 20 minutes before kickoff and yet played today. Other guys respect his example and leadership. As it stands now he’s 1 sack off of the team lead - which suggests we have a major issue with our pass rushing scheme when “2” leads the team. Everyone else above - yeah, I’m over them.
 
Burke has has one good game as DC - the 2nd Patriots game last year. He has failed to have hit time ready, failed to gameplan for the opponents strengths, and failed to make adjustments.
 
I would say NONE of the people listed have to go right now. We are in the middle of the season, that's like starting a thread at halftime and have it not age well. The minute the season is over or we are eliminated from the playoffs then this kind of thread is appropriate.
 
My premise is that Grier has done a good job over the last two drafts and offseasons. Further, Coach Gase is giving a clear definition of the players he wants and this helps support Grier’s success. If you accept this premise, then Ross would be foolish to move on from either of them. Let them both serve out the term of Coach Gase’s contract which is five years.
 
The Chiefs coaching staff and front office will be poached after this season. Reid and the GM will stay, but Mahomes success will make rich men out of their underlings. Eric Bienemy anyone?

You can get over Wake too. He is the past. No one has any idea what his teammates respect about him and we shouldn't be focused on situational bodies. We need young tough bodies. Miami is a walking injury with no depth.

Tannehill has gotta go. I like the guy, but his time is up.

Tannebaum can leave yesterday.

Grier is ok. I'm ambivalent on him.

Gase is an enigma. He kills it one week, looks like a clown the next week. Need more consistency from him.

I'd trade Wake and Jones, try and get some value for them. Cut Branch in the offseason and go after a solid pass rusher with the savings. Draft a qb, cut all the 30+yo's and get a solid young core. O - Drake, Grant, Wilson, Tunsil, James. D - McCain, X, Fitz, McDonald, Taylor, Godcheaux, Baker, and Raekwon.
