Jets used all out blitz many times, and it got to Henne. We won because of our special team.

Pats brought all out blitz on occasion, and it was effective. One that took us out of field goal range.

How many time we used all out blitz the last few game, I remember ZERO. ( may be one or two in three four games ).

I am not saying we use all out blitz all the time as it would give up big play at times...but ZERO.

The defense could not get any qb pressure with conventional 3 or 4 pass rushers, an all out blitz occasionally sure would be better than what we seen so far.
The bend but don't break strategy is not working, but I have yet seen anything new from Paul Pasqualoni.

He is too vanilla, and Sparano should pull the trigger and get rid of him.

The question is...can our defense do any worst with a new D coordinator?? think not.

You can only coach the players you have. Pasqualoni is a good coach and the better the personal we get the better he will look. Sorry no disrespect but if Parcells thinks he's good I'll take his opinion over yours.

I do think Henning may retire this off-season but that has more to do with age then lack of ability.

We have pass rushers, but we don't blitz them consistently. The rationale is that we don't want to give up a big play. Problem is, we give them up anyways.
Might as well try and rattle the QB.

It is one thing to blitz against Henne who still learsn how to play on the NFL level with virtually no good receiver or blitzing Brady with Randy Moss and a very solid O-line. They sent rushers yesterday , rushed with 5 peopel somtimes but it did not work. When Wilson blitzed at the beginning Brady prompty threw the pass to the open reciever (Watson?). I remember against Mannaing they sent an all out blitz and the result was a TD. Yesterday they tried to hide blitzes ot showed blitzes and did not blitz which I thought was good
But let's face it - in the end the Patsies are far too good for the current Dolphins D, regardless what you do.

The Jets hit Brady repeatedly and vastly reduced his effectiveness.
BTW, our rookie CB's had a pretty decent game, but when Brady sits in the pocket for 4-5 seconds nobody can cover those receivers.
If you are going to go down, may as well go down swinging. The front 7 was pathetic yesterday.
I actually thought Clemons, Davis and Smith (and even Allen) made some nice plays. In the past some of those throws to Moss would have been easy TD's and the Pats would have had 38-40 pts

What about the head coach who continually punts in 4th and short situations late in games when the game is on the line and miraculously thinks his defense is going to stop these offenses they havent stopped all day and assume his cloud of dust offense is going to drive the field with less than 2 minutes left IF they get the ball back?

They constantly preach and let off this tough guy persona yet the head coach over and over again goes conservative

Um......it worked, so what are you talking about? And 4th and 4 isn't 4th and short. It would have made no sense to go for it there.

4th and 4 is 4th and short. Anything less than 4th and 5 is 4th and short. No it didnt work. Our offense didnt go the length of the field as anyone who watches this team week in and week out knew the chances of them doing that were slim to none. Let me guess you felt our offense was good enough to be put in that situation right? I mean with all the guys on the outside who constantly make big plays and big catches and can house it from anywhere on the field?

FYI, in that situation...it is a 50-50 chance they get the first down. Much better than our offense going the length of the field wouldnt you think....

No i disagree totally with you. If we don't get it the game is over. The way they did it we had the ball with plenty of time to score in a 2min offence if the WR's make catches. I recall us doing it against the Jets not that long ago so they are capable of doing it. It didn't come down to coaching it came down to players not executing.

^ and by the way what planet do you live on that 4th and 4 isn't long? Your getting your 3rd and 4th downs mixed up.

You named 1 game. I have 4 games of data where they failed to move the ball down the field with their putrid playmakers and you have 1.

I would say my sample size is more objective.

What do you think is more probable...Getting 4 yards on 4th down or this offense going 80 yards in less than 3 minutes?

Just to reiterate...the percentages show there is a 50-50 chance of picking up the 4th down in that spot. I will take my chances with that, on the road, against that team, all day long.

So 4 yards on 4th down is longer than it is on 3rd down? That makes sense.

Pasq does not disguise anything every1 who watches the game knows which players are going to be sent. Im pretty sure a couple of times we sent 3 guys langford, solial, starks. Those are 3 damn run stuffers and that was our blitz and then we wonder why our CBs get beat beacuse well Moss can run sideline 2 sideline when brady has over 5 secs in the pocket.

Brady becomes an avg QB if you rattle him he does not want to get hit/touched. And Pasq is to stupid to reliaze this beacuse I think he thinks that the prevent defense actually works.

Pasqualoni is one of the worst DC's in the league and a horrible coach overall.. He definitely needs to be fired... Being from Syracuse, I know first hand just how bad he is. He does not know how to coach up, obviously does not know how to put together even a decent gameplan, and sure as hell does not know how to call the defenses from the gameplans he puts together. He is the main problem as to why the defense is horrible. He needs to go
