Fire Sale Everyone Must go!

Why would you trade or cut 90% of the team. Not all suck. I think next year quite a few contracts will not be picked up and we will bring in some much better players with a new head coach ala.... Gruden or Cowher maybe.

Can't believe some people on here are still calling Marshall an elite WR.

He's awful and if we could get a 2nd for him, we should take it and run. When u factor in his awful play, suspension risk and huge contract, it's obvious he should be dumped.

I am sticking to my comments from earlier this week.

Everyone Must Go! Marshall, Dansby, Long, Hartline..... Anyone associated with this putrid POS of a team must go. Everyone and I mean everyone. Start over and lets do this right from the begining, Grab your QB 1st round in the draft then build a team around the QB.

Yep. We need to strip this team down of any veterans who both have any trade value and are capable of making an impact play at some point that could win us a game. Exactly right. Make this team as bad as possible so we can lose out, draft Luck, and have a stockpile of draft picks for the next FO.

Well I can tell ya two things:

1) the offense has no leader
2) the defense has no leader

Anyone who undermines those two sentiments when the next coach takes over needs to be given the boot.

There are several key players that should take a good hard look in the mirror as well, Soliai, Dansby, Davis, Smith on D and Marshal, Bush, and the right side of the O-line.

We need a safety, I said that in the pre-season and I stand by it now. I wanted Eric Weddle but he isn't going any where now. The D also needs an ILB, Dansby isn't a leader. It is clear to me now more then ever and that is the position that makes or breaks a D and Miami is flat in that regard. I heard a lot of talk from Soliai but that's all it has been, talk. He isn't a top 5 or 10 DT and doesn't get paid like one at seasons end, in fact he better have invested all his duckets because he might be playing for peanuts next season, franchising him looks like a brilliant move at this point because you are only out one season of cash.

If Marshal continues to play like a nacey boy and decides undermined the offense and a new young QB, get him the **** out of here. You don't need a receiver pissing and whining when you have a young QB (assuming Miami takes one next draft). You keep Long and Pouncy and maybe Incognito but even Richie is 50/50 (the only reason I suggest keeping him is to fill a more pressing need) the rest all go. I am not sure I would be so quick to dispose of Bush yet, he and Thomas might be a good thunder and lighting attack assuming the other offensive problems are fixed.

It doesn't make any sense to get rid of Long and Pouncey though. Gonna need someone to protect the QB, Long is a bit injured this year, but will hopefully be healed in time and be a dominant lineman again.

I understand the anger and while I think basically 95% of the draft picks were the wrong move! You just don't go cutting them! Let a real FO and coach come in and fix this mess! Get a real QB, a real burner for a WR(can't believe we let Holmes land on the Jets for a 5th rounder!), a real TE, and a real RB! This team needs a field general that control the field, sidelines, and locker room!

My biggest worry is that the next "real" FO is going to be chosen by Ross and Ireland might still be part of this team :(

Ireland is a moron! He is as bad at GM as Sparano is at HC!

You're crazy.

Big Jake and Brandon Marshall are elite talents at their positions. You can't blame them for dogging it for a lame duck coach.

I'll blame them. Long isnt dogging it, but Marshall's not doing his part with all of his dropped passes. Lame duck coach or not, a player should never slack off during a game. If anything, they should be playing for their job now because a new coach has no loyalty to them.

Because in 2-3-4 years when this franchise is ready to be good, most of those guys will have little value, will have declined or be on the decline and wont be a part of the future.

Seriously, Wake and Dansby are almost in their 30's. What good will they be to us in 3-4 years? Get what you can out of them at the peak of their value.

At some point we have to stop being so short sighted.

Why is it stupid, start over, do it the smart way, lock in all your money in the right places. I am not attached to any one player on this team, i want this team to win. Why would you hold on to Marshal as an example a really good player no doubt but who half ***** it when he is not happy. Or why keep Jake Long who **** ya is a HOF LT no doubt. But is expensive now and will only get more expensive when his contract comes up. Go get your QB then worry about the weapons then worry about the OL etc...

You guys get way to attached to players.

this makes no sense... you know how long it would take to replace all these players? you bring in your QB and continue to build around him and we will be good in a couple of years, as long as we hit on a franchise QB.... thats why we have to find a way to get luck.... he is as sure of a QB as you will get in a draft

and really what do you expect to get out of trading those players?

If you're Atlanta about 1 year, in Miami over 10.

The fire sale needs to be in the front office & coaching staff, let them all go. The new regime can make calls on which players need to go.

Out of all the guys with some trade value the only one that you definitely keep is Jake Long. Everyone else can go and I wouldn't care, but out of this entire team these are the players I'd def keep if I was the GM/Coach... Long, Pouncey, Bess, Gates, Davis, Wilson, Clemens, Odrick, Fields. Long and Pouncey are no brainers, Bess is a good slot WR who doesn't make a ton of money, Gates is a speed demon with potential and doesn't make much $, Davis I'd keep just because CB's aren't easy to come by and he's the best one we have, Wilson I just have a feeling about and he makes next to nothing, Clemens is cheap and at the least would be a very good backup, Odrick has shown some potential and is young, Fields I'd keep for obvious reasons.

I'd also like to keep Dansby but not at his salary, and as far as Marshall goes... well he has already worn out his welcome as far as I'm concerned. If I get rid of Marshall I def keep Hartline though because the odds of finding a #1 and #2 WR in one offseason are slim to none.
