Huizinga should be blamed just as much as Wannstedt for the horrible position this team is in. Last year, remember Wayne's vows that if we didn't make the AFC Championship that Wanny would be gone? We didn't break the playoffs and HE GOT SIGNED TO A 2 YEAR EXTENSION!

Wayne has no idea what he's doing. He messed up the Panthers, the Marlins, and now the Dolphins.

I know it's probably impossible to get a new owner, but please, hire some assistants or something and help this team get back on the right track.

Wannstedt needs to go, and I think for right now we'd be better off putting Trestman at Head Coach, Sullivan at OC, and Jim Bates at DC.

I am like you and worry that if we do have a losing season that Wayne doesn't let Wanny have a free pass and just fire him. He better stick to his original plan of playoffs or bust.

If they go 0-5...or even 0-8...

does Wayne have any choice but to fire him???

that's the question.

Thats what I'm scared of. What if we indeed do that bad and Wanny is still not gone?

It would be beyond comprehension...

for me...

I've got to believe that 0-5 or 0-8 gets it done...

I feel bad for wanny and all the crap he had to deal with... but the pats had injuries last year and still won the super bowl... if we don't make the playoffs wanny has got to go... this team needs a change... and it starts with a new coach... especially a line coach... Wise must be absolutely horrible... this is two years in a row our oline can't get their sh@t together

It will stink...

but you'll get through it...

Just keep saying Scott Pioli, Nick Saban and Matt Leinhart...
over and over again...
click your heels twice and I'll see you in Kansas...Toto.

Depends on where we are at the bye-week this year. It comes the week of November 14th. If we are 3-6 at that point, with victories against the Bills, Jets and Cards? With little sign of improvement?

Then fire Wanny at the bye and give Trestman the two weeks to prepare for the Seahawks game.

Any record of 4-5 or better should mean Wanny gets to coach out the season and then get fired (unless we find a way to win 10 games and make the playoffs).

I'd really think about firing Rick Spielman too, unless the OL shapes up. It looks like he really messed up with the guys he brought in and/or kept around.

Speilman had almost no choice on the o-line but to keep the young guys and get rid of last years starters. He brought in four players. Two of which played tonight, one of whom did poorly ( James ) and one of which it boggles my mind he's on the team ( St. Clair ). I'm so upset by the O-line's play I could puke.

Unfortunately Wayne left himself a loophole in which to keep Dave around when he gave Dave the ultimatum. I recall that Huizinga stated that barring any unforseen circumstances, if we didn't make the playoffs........well, you know the rest. Wayne COULD say that the blows we took this offseason were just too much for ANY coach to overcome and give Dave another season. I HOPE that isn't the case. I HOPE that Wayne gives Dave his walking papers at seasons end regardless of whether by some miracle we make the playoffs or not. But, the loophole is there just in case Wayne is stupid enough to waste another Phins season on Dave.

Rick deserves another year

I don't see Wanny gone during the bye-week, won't happen. If he gets fired during the season, it will be with 2 or 3 games left. My question is, who becomes the head coach in 2005? Charlie Weiss? Nick Saban? Steve Spurier(please god no)?
