First depth chart release

Interesting that Hollins is in the top 6 WR’s while Bowden isn’t at this time. Also Doaks is listed at the very bottom of the RB’s. Obviously this depth chart can change once the pre season games begin but right now it appears Bowden and Doaks are in for a real battle to make the final 53.

Who released this? Was this actually released by the team, or is this just typed up by SI?
Right now, I’m more concerned about the line.
I hope we don’t do a lot of shuffling around. We need to get set there ASAP to give them time to gel. Receivers and backs can get reps wherever and move up/down without as much direct impact on their immediate surroundings.
But, yes - it’s an initial one. So … is what it is I guess.

I think they have been moving several players in and out of the first team offense and defense. While he was playing with the first team during the past week, McCourty has also been practicing with the first team.
I think this is one of the positions which will be determined by their play during the pre season. Flores is comfortable with McCourty because of his years with him with the Patriots but I think Holland will eventually win the position even if McCourty starts the season at safety.
As the free safety he has to call out the defenses and get everyone lined up correctly. Holland is still learning the defense and probably isn’t as effective as McCourty in calling out the defenses at this time.
Hasn't practiced. Day to day on returning.
