Let me first off by saying that I haven't had that much fun in a long time. We arrived Saturday morning and stayed in South Beach. It was amazing and very expensive but well worth it. Got to the stadium around 9:30 and drank our a$$es off. Everyone was real nice, invited us to eat, play catch, the whole 9. Now I've been to I'd say 10 or so Jets-Phins games at the meadowlands but what a feeling to be the home team. We get in the stadium and disaster strikes. Now I'm drunk and really pissed because my first trip to a NASCAR race was also a disaster in October when Jr. crashed on the 19th lap. But anyway, All the things people say in general about Miami fans are so true. There were a lot of Jills fans there which surprised me a bit but they were cool for the most part, except the guy who started to cheer for the Phins when it was 23-3. And another thing I noticed were a lot of people rockin other NFL teams. Saw 2 Mannings, Roethlisburger, Eagles gear and a guy with a JESTS hat. I was screaming at him the whole game. For the Phin fans, I saw a lot leave when it was 21 - 0, then more at half and a lot more after the safety. A lot boo'ed and I must admit I did too.But anyway, for the ones that remained...oh my god, very memorable game. The stadium came to life after Ricky punched it in and it only grew! Now I've been to the Giants-Vikings championship game a few years ago and that was the loudets I've heard, but the 20 K or so fans that stayed we're really rockin it...For that many people, it was really loud I thought. Everyone bangin they're feet and slappin chairs and it was just awesome. When they won I was jumpin around like a little girl huggin everyone. And now I'm hooked, depending on the outcome of this week's games, I might fly down for the day and watch the Jests get destroyed by a superior Miami team (Not on the the playoff bandwagon yet but will be if we beat SD and especially if Pats lose). Go Phins and in Nick I trust!!!!
