The play calling impressed me, I really like what I see out of Linehan.

Chambers was impressive as normal.

Offensive line looked solid, didn't focus on it or any individuals but they looked pretty good.

Ricky looked amazing. 31 on the Jags will never live that play down.

Morris did pretty well.

Gordon didn't do anything to stick out.

Frerotte looked horrible. 5 overthrows in the first two drives. He did good vs the Bears second team but vs a real first team he played like the backup he was.

Defensive line looked great. I don't care if it was preseason, blocking is blocking. Our line tore up theirs.

Travis Daniels made a nice play vs Jimmy Smith.

Reggie Howard did nothing wrong, BIG improvement from last week.

Zach Thomas still manages to wow me every time I watch him, nothing new but I felt like mentioning it.

Second team defensive backs looked bad all together.

Overall I think we looked solid regardless of the score. If Frerotte didn't suck today we would lead 10-7. The punt return was luck as with any punt return, so I won't take that to heart. I would write more but the game started back up, time to watch second half.

The scores in these games are meaningless.

The outcomes are meaningless.

No, the Bills went to 4 straight super bowl. In those years I don't think they won more than 1 or 2 preseason games. You gain more from watching, listening, evaluatiing than you do by the final score.

Most of the guys playing in the 2nd half of these games will be working in a deli or Fed Ex within 6 months. The scores of these games mean nothing.

No thats what educated players, coaches and fans say about pre-season games where there is no game planning and you run a vanilla offense. Pre-season is to evaluate, regular season is when it counts. Unless they now give you an extra win if your pre-season is a winning one.

i didn't say they meant something. thatz just what the fans always say. lose and it doesn't matter. win and everybody gets their hopes up.

Yeah our o-line actually wasn't our weakest link, it was by far the QB position.

It couldn't have been the QB's, everyone was saying Gus was what we needed after last game..How could he not be better this week?
 It's still early, the QB's will get better, well at least Feeley has room to improve, Gus is suppose to know this O, and there shouldn't be any questions about him...Hmmmm or should there be..well the PS goes on.

calm down, I'm pretty sure he was being sarcastic. Everybody who cares enough about football to go to a forum and talk about it should know the deal with preseason.

riiiiiight

I really liked what i saw from our 1st string WR, RB and pretty much the whole defense! I was really worried about the secondary and there still could be some work done there but they looked much better than Monday night. I think where there was a lot of mistakes last week, they were corrected. Obviously our 2nd and 3rd stringers are not looking to good but what are you gonna do. The darn special teams needs much work but i still like the improvements ive seen. Most of all i really like the play calling... its nice to see the different schemes and options... so different from last few years.

:missmeth:

P.S. I dont think Gus looked as bad as the thread starter said... Feeley looks MUCH worst. I think Gus did a pretty good job with what he has. Yes he did have a couple of overthrows but i really liked how he was moving around to get away from the pressure.. i like how he made adjustments when needed and i love his connects with Chris!
