Aside from Gadsden, the Dolphins emerged relatively healthy.

Safety Shawn Wooden twisted an ankle and is day-to-day. Wooden played through the injury and earned a game ball on special teams. Receiver James McKnight received stitches in his lip after the game. Thomas sustained a muscular strain in his neck during the first goal-line stand but did not miss any plays.

Fullback Rob Konrad (ribs) and defensive tackle Jermaine Haley (calf) might return Sunday after one-week absences. Running back J.J. Johnson might also be active after five weeks off with a variety of leg ailments.

Zach Thomas was one of 13 players on the injury report for the Dolphins. Safety Shawn Wooden was listed as doubtful with sprains to both ankles. Wide receiver Oronde Gadsden (hamstring), defensive tackle Jermaine Haley (calf), running back J.J. Johnson (calf), fullback Rob Konrad (ribs) and wide receiver James McKnight (face and throat) were listed as questionable.

Wide receiver Chris Chambers (ankle), quarterback Jay Fiedler (elbow), quarterback Ray Lucas (back), safety Brock Marion (knee), center Tim Ruddy (knee) and cornerback Patrick Surtain (finger) were listed as probable.

Wooden, Gadsden and Ruddy were held out of practice.

For the Bills, quarterback Rob Johnson (shoulder), guard Jerry Ostroski (knee), defensive tackle Shawn Price (knee) and linebacker Kenyatta Wright (shoulder) are out. Running back Ron Edwards (neck), running back Travis Henry (knee), safety Travares Tillman (knee) and defensive tackle Pat Williams (leg) are questionable.

If Pat Williams is out, we should be able to get something going on the ground...

Update

Linebacker Zach Thomas was diagnosed with a strained right shoulder and said he has a small tear in one of the muscles.

Still, the injury is not expected to keep him out of the Dolphins' regular-season finale Sunday against the Buffalo Bills. It is also not expected to require offseason surgery.

Linebacker Derrick Rodgers said his left arm will remain in a sling for about six weeks. He will then begin a rehabilitation program that will last the offseason.

Safety Shawn Wooden was held out of practice because of sprains to both ankles. . . . Receiver Oronde Gadsden had limited work. . . . Defensive tackle Jermaine Haley (calf), fullback Rob Konrad (ribs) and receiver James McKnight (lip) practiced, though the team avoided contact with McKnight.

Dolphins: Top three receivers should play

Oronde Gadsden (hamstring), James McKnight (lip), and Chris Chambers (ankle) are all expected to play this week. Gadsden missed practice on Wednesday, but practiced on a limited basis on Thursday. "I guess you rest when the season’s over," Gadsden told the Sun-Sentinel. "Right now, we’ve still got a long way to go to get where we want to be. If we can get Carolina to win and we win, then I’ll get some rest [with a first-round bye]. If that doesn’t happen I’ll keep on plugging away.â€Â

If no one kisses McKnight (lip), we should be able to beat the Bills. ;) :p

Bills: Henry not expected to play

Linebacker Zach Thomas, who has an injured neck and shoulder, practiced Friday and will play in Sunday's regular-season finale against Buffalo at Pro Player Stadium because a home playoff game is at stake. But Thomas, whose neck stiffened up in the unusual Florida cold Friday, won't push it if he is in pain, with the playoffs coming the following week.

Receiver James McKnight (lip) and defensive tackle Jermaine Haley (calf) practiced and will play Sunday. Fullback Rob Konrad (ribs) and receiver Oronde Gadsden (hamstring) were limited. Safety Shawn Wooden (ankles) sat out, and probably will sit out Sunday, after playing well on special teams against Atlanta.
