It is stupid. Didn't these same people predict us to win only 3-4 games? Aren't we supposed to be bad?

you get kicked when you're down, and who is going to argue that we arent' down?

ummmm, Nick Saban will.

Actually, here's the first paragraph of the summary...

PITTSBURGH (AP) -- Back at LSU, coach Nick Saban's solution for this type of problem would have been to pull one or two of his highly recruited players and plug in a couple of others. In the NFL, it's not quite that easy.

They then go into all the screw ups tonight. It also makes mention that we had as many turnovers as Frerotte had completions.

:deadhorse

EDIT: Sorry. Make that FUMBLES not turnovers. We actually had one MORE turnover than Gus had completions. :fire:

It's just preseason and nobody expects us to be good anyways because there is not enough talent on this team to compete for the playoffs. It doesn't matter who the coach is if you don't have enough good players on your roster.

he prolly is thinking what the hell did i get myself into

Saban isn't thinking anything right now. If this carries over into the regular season then maybe he'll regret his decision to leave but right now he knows there's a lot of work to do and on the brightest side of all side...it's only pre-season (to bad you can't say that forever)!

I don't think he'll be worried. There were some mistakes but everyone knows we're a long way from home base. We played better on defense

I Guess ESPN shrugs off whenever Miami looks fairly well, Chicago, Jacsonville game, but then, once they play bad, it's as if they're waiting for the moment to bash the team. Oh well, I won't be too surprised when ESPN starts sucking up to the team two years down the road.

I heard the main reason Saban left cushy LSU to come here was for this very challenge.
The reason he was selected, and viewed as the best available, was his ability in dealing with this adversity.
While he's dazzled with his draft selections, free agent aquisitions, and overall decisionmaking, what I've heard most about Saban from his peers, the media, and Saban himself, is that he ultimately specializes in making the most with what he has to work with.
If Wanny was still here, yes, I would be concerned, but what I 've come to understand, is that the number one thing we supposedly addressed, was in acquiring Sabans expertise, to not only excel against this adversity, but all, that is yet to come.
This part was to be expected.
