First OC Interview is Today

and no this is not an indication of the GM being a puppet. The team is letting Joe conduct his own search for his own OC as it is in his contract. What it does say is that Philbin is pretty much safe for the year

And this is where I DO disagree with Ross, I think GM should be first.
What does GM have to do with OC tho?

I disagree with hiring positional coaches for OC. It's just more incompetence.

I like it. I love phillys offense, and combining their offense with philbins is a matchmade in heaven. more screens, playing to our advantage, motions, bootlegs, pistol. I love it. but hashe even called plays? I doubt it. plus I believe they already know tom gamble likes this guy, so if they show interest in him, it could be of toms liking

But then again, ok do it this way, because if Joe has a bad third season then the GM can make his move with the whole staff

Personally, I'd rather completely clean house. There is NOTHING that Philbin has done that makes me think losing him is the end. He's an average coach at best! Absolutely nothing special.

Ok, I agree, he is under Joe technically, so like I said if he screws up then the new GM shows everyone the door

Bill Lazor has been QB coach for Washington, Seattle, now Eagles.Been OC only in college- at U.of Buffalo and Virginia (did good work there).

While at Virginia he took an offense that was dead last in the ACC before he got there and made them the 3rd best offense in the conference. He left because he wanted to be a pro coach.

That's what I got out of it. Another non-playoff season, and one would assume that the new GM would then fire the entire coaching staff and bring one in of his own choosing, but yeah this pretty much cements another year of Philbin.

Chris Mortensen just reported that Kyle Shanahan is on the radar for the Dolphins.

I'd love to get hoops' take on that move, but I actually think Shanahan could be a really solid hire.

I just wish we could get someone who has at least a little play-calling experience. At times this year it looked like we had absolutely no clue what the down and distance was.
Lazor does have play-calling experience, he was Virginia's offensive coordinator.

gotta be quick bro
You even beat me to the punch.

couple videos on Lazor

So if Lazor is hired and Gamble is hired do that mean we are leaving our Dallas Cowboy connection to start a new connection with the Eagles?

Something like that lol. Lazor and Gamble only worked together for a year.

Also watching the videos I posted, Lazor spent time at VIrginia teaching the proper technique for a QB sneak so right there is a plus for most.

Lazor is a hot commodity though
