The game on Sunday between the Miami Dolphins and the Buffalo Bills was the first one I ever attended, and I thought I would make a few comments on the game.

First off - Bills fans, for the most part, are classless drunks who love insulting Dolphins fans just as much as the Dolphins (I'll get back to this later).

It was AMAZING seeing the Dolphins in person. I was 11 rows up from the 50 yard line on the Phins side, so there they all were. Seau, Thomas, Taylor, Brown, wow, it was amazing seeing them so close. And might I add, a football field seems so small when you are there.

Everything was fine going in, every Bills fan I met would make a small comment and laugh, but it was all friendly and I was all smiles along with them. I was seated with a bunch of Bills fans, and these guys were friendly as well.

Game starts.

Nothing but yellow.

Flags killed us in this game. It was getting so repetetive that when they didn't have a flag I was looking for the refs to see if they had fallen asleep. But, there were flags that shouldn't have been thrown, and flags that SHOULD have been thrown against Buffalo.

- I believe it was on a kickoff, one of the Buffalo Bills RIPS off Sammy Morris' helmet and NOTHING is called. Sure, call McMike for holding a ball in the direction of a Bill but GOD FORBID if someone rips off a Dolphins helmet its okay!

- I believe it was on K. Thomas, #20, a phantom pass interference penalty when he dived forward to bat the ball away at one point in the game. Complete BS. It was clean.

Now, for my disapointing players/plays of the game.

- Chambers completely beat Clements on a downfield route and Gus overthrows him by five yards. This would have been HUGE for the Dolphins, and wow, did Chambers beat him.

- Booker dropping that post towards the sideline on the last drive for what would have been a fifteen yard gain.

- Denney, two bad snaps to Jones (one called back for a penalty luckily). That botched one was huge.

- Coaching decisions - Last drive, why didn't we run it once? Brown was averaging over five yards per carry and we're within striking range. There is a minute and a half on the clock, atleast let him try. The Buffalo fan in front of me kept saying that the Bills can't stop the run, even he knows this.

- Special teams blocking. They weren't opening up anything for Welker, who was getting constantly stuffed by three or four Bills right away.

Now, as the fumble was ruled to be a fumble on the final drive, I took my walk of shame up the stairs to get out of the stadium. Nothing bad, one Bills fan even says good game. I get up to the top of the steps, begin to head out, and I hear, "Get the [expletive] out of here, Dolphins [expletive] suck." I turn back to see who it was, and I see yellow coats standing around (the security) with no comment. Doesn't bother me so much. I start heading out of Ralph Wilson, and the fans are generally nice, happy that the Bills won, and letting me know. But its just "YEAH BILLS!" and "SORRY DOLPHINS!"

I get out of the stadium, and this group of guys probably around my age all sporting various Bills jerseys walks by. One holds out his hand and I'm like "Wow, nice gesture," but, I put my hand out and he takes his away and his buddies laugh and tell me to "go the [expletive] back to Miami, you [expletive] [expletive]." Alright, fed up. I turn back and walk over to them. In my mind, I want to say " You know what, its sad that after all those penalties and turnovers the Bills couldn't put the Dolphins away earlier," but all that came out was a few expletives along with "You barely won!" About six of them and me keep jawing, lots of swearing, at this point I had enough, but I didn't get my emotions get away enough to take a swing. I turned, took a deep breath, and walked away.

My spirits come back as I start talking with two Canadian fin fans, and I walk by a group of Dolfans who bussed here who all cheer for me (which was nice). Everything good till I'm walking back to the car (parked at some place called Kettles?) And someone in a car yells, "Dolphins [expletive] suck, you [derrogatory refference to a person with an alternative lifestyle]."

This effectively killed most of the sympathy for Bills fans. I saw more Bills fans yelling at Dolfans as I headed back, and it wasn't friendly yelling.

Great game, tough loss, awesome experience except for the end. Bills fans, in my eyes (besides Clumpy and the few ones here), have very little class. But I'm making it my vow to travel to Ralph Wilson each year to cheer my Phins on and stick it to them when they win - but unlike most of them, I won't be a jerk about it

Thanks for the good read....The one thing that still hurts was several years ago when Bill fans pelted garbage at the Fins players bus BEFORE the game.......no excuse for that so pardon me if I don't feel friendly-warm toward Bills fans.........totally classless!

Some proof of how close I was. If you look at the bench, you can see Ronnie towards the left. :D

EDIT: More towards the middle really...
