Perhaps he doesn’t understand that the Dolphins offense scored a TD on nearly 50% of their possessions today. It wasn’t their fault the defense was on the field for most of the game. You should probably go watch the game again and count the TDs.

I can hear the excuse “There was a palmetto bug on the desk!”Poor guy seems to have some anger management issues.......
I wasn’t at all, until I read this board and saw people acting like this was a big deal. I’m a bills fan and I didn’t even turn the game on to watch because more than half the team wasn’t playing, so obviously we’d lose. Then when we were winning I started paying attention. Then watched even more guys go down. Went back out to painting. Saw later that the bills STILL almost won. Went on here expecting people to be bitching about how they struggled against a bunch of backups and practice squad guys, but much to my dismay, I see everyone thinking this is the greatest win in 2 decades. That is really, really sad lol. The dolphins should have dismantled this wal mart greeter defense. The fact that that it took everything they had and then still almost lost is embarrassing lol.
I thought the same thing…….however it also appeared to me that Diggs was expecting that pass and Howard suspected it was coming. On that play they had no timeouts. So they were planning to spike the ball and attempt to kick a FG. When the center hiked the ball, Allen fumbled it and once he fumbled the ball it is illegal to spike the ball.
It wasn’t a fake spike at all. It was simply a fumbled ball that prevented a spike and left Allen nothing to do but throw the ball once he recovered the fumble. You can’t blame McDermott for the fact the center and QB had trouble with the exchange when the ball was hiked.
He played at UM. So he’s used to seeing Palmetto bugs all the time.I can hear the excuse “There was a palmetto bug on the desk!”
I think they probably practice what to do if a situation comes up that they have to pass the ball. If he hadn’t fumbled the ball I would agree with you but it didn’t make sense that he would fumble the ball, pick it up and then try that pass.I thought the same thing…….however it also appeared to me that Diggs was expecting that pass and Howard suspected it was coming.
Hunt had to go to Right Tackle, Robert Jones was in there, I seriously thought linemen going in and out of the game and shifting around was going to be our downfall if we lost today. One thing I haven’t seen mentioned much today - maybe because we barely had the ball. The offensive line played really well today.
IMO all the "Tua needs to be consistent" people are those who don't break down film. They see team results and put it all on the QB. Reality is that Tua is a very consistent QB. Consistency was never his issue. No QB will avoid all mistakes. Allen is arguably playing the best QB in the league right now. He not only had that fumble that lead to the first TB, but he also threw 5 or 6 other passes that could/should have been INTs. What Tua needed was to add more big plays. Obviously that wasn't all on him. With historically bad pass pro, league worst WRs in terms of separation and what looked like a HS level offensive game plan, other things needed to improve before he'd even have a chance toNope...not gonna let that pass.
Watch the film of his previous 2 games...and count the drops. Accurate throws hitting hands, and dropped. He threw a bad INT in one of those games, and almost one in the other 2 games, trying to force the ball and make a big play...that has to be corrected, yes. But he hasn't played inconsistently, when you compare his play to every other QB in the league. We had Josh Allen in the flesh today, how many of his passes hit a defender right in the mitts? His floor has been excellent, his ceiling outstanding...so far through 3 games.
Tua needs to be correctly compared to other QBs, not via narrative restrictions. He has absolutely been playing top 10, probably top 5 considering how some of the big names have showed out this year so far. Lamar/Allen may be the only 2 standing out more than Tua is...well, throw in Mahomes...and possibly Hurts. Do we need to see more? Most certainly. But at this point in time, he has went up against 2 VERY good defenses, and one poor passing defense, and has been VERY sharp and dialed-in, even when things on offense weren't going great.
The results and stats all back it up.
**** Trent Green. He was talking **** last week. Talking bout it was a fluke. Also just as a side note. Kevin Harlan can call all of our games and I'd be cool with that. Trent Green kinda sucks but Harlan is truly one of the best in the business - and he's the #3 broadcaster on CBS.
I think some people are so accustomed to the Dolphins disappointing them that they just can’t enjoy what is happening with this team. It rather sad they can’t enjoy the win and not dwell on what they perceive as the negatives.Biggest win in a decade and folks will still bitch about it.![]()
