First Saban Sideline Tirade

OK... we'll get the ball first on opening day... and get called for holding on the return, erasing a sweet kickoff return... and Saban will go absolutely ape***, first on the Ref, then on the player.


I could see that happening. ***** groundhog day.
 
Everyone keeps saying it will happen on an offense miscue, but I think it will actually be on a defensive player being out of position and allowing a score or a big play that leads to a score... he's a defensive minded coach and prides himself on his system, so the first time a LB or safety is out of position or mis-plays something, I think he'll lose it on them... I have a feeling he'll go on tirades over mental error's... he'll have a better handle if it's a hussle error.. but mental mistakes he WON'T stand for.. oh yeah, and NFL ref's, Wanny is no longer on the Dolphins sideline, you'll get an up close and personal greeting from mister Saban, trust me.. He's Don Shula part 2 when it comes to lighting up a ref...

If it's not a defensive play, then it will be at OC Scott Linehan when he has chambers come around on an end around option pass and he throws and INT ... LMAO...
 
he's funny to watch on the sideline. in the lsu-vt game in '02, they got a punt return called back on a clipping call, and it looked like somebody was shaking him he was so pissed. he laid into the refs, then laid into the kid they called it on. imo he's a guy who gets mad about self-inflicted wounds, so some sort of penalty or bone-headed play is gonna get is blood boiling.
 
I think it will happen when the D is heading out onto the field. "Where's Chester???" Saban looks and sees a sheepish Larry Chester surrounded by emoty Little Debbie wrappers. "I got a stomach-ache coach..." :fire:

I think it will be when Matt Roth rips Jake Plummer's head off and they call a roughing the passer. Saban will be in the ref's face and Roth will then proceed to throw Plummer's helmet (with his head in it, of course) all over the field, Kyle Turley-style.

Every coach tries not to tear into the QB. That is one position that needs to maintain a lot of poise.

god that really was the funniest penalty and the most embarressing.

if anyone was at minicamp on the final practice, i think you know that saban will be a very emotional coach. he spent a good amount of time railing at tony bua for doing something i didnt catch. he was also in the middle of the field during the 2on2s and coaching the plays. players were running back to the huddles, it was something to behold up against previous year where the players practically skipped.

i cant wait for the season!!!!!!
