Bill Parcells has always been know to build from the inside out. So dt and c should be our main priorities, as well as a free safety for the middle of the field.

The first three picks if they are still around imo should be...

1- dt. Raji bc or
2- c. A.caldwell alabama
3- s L. Delma

Very Good

Those 3 picks would be awsome, however as we are aware its unlikely B.J. Raja will fall to pick 25.......... which brings me to quite an interesting question.....

Would it be worth it to give up our 2b pick or our 3rd round pick along with our 1st to move up a few spots in the 1st round to select Raja if he slips a bit ? For most players i would say no, draft picks are life, but Raja is a rare dominator built perfect for the NT position at 6'1" short for great leverage yet still big and very powerful at 323 lbs, the best of both worlds, what a beast this guy is, check his scouting report on Draft Countdown, perfect for 3-4 NT.

I think he would sew up the NT position for the next 10 years much like Long has done at LT.

Just a thought i wanted to throw out there, it may be wiser to take a lesser NT prospect, and keep the other high pick to fill another need.

Thoughts ?

I wouldn't trade up in this draft for anyone. Picks are too valuable, especially for a team that needs to upgrade as many starting and key reserve spots as we do.

With the way this week is going, you might have to have a top 10 pick to get Raji anyways.

No way should we wait to pick #57 to pick Delmas. That is risking him being gone. Delmas is going to be a late 1st round/early 2nd round guy...if we want a FS like Delmas...we must pick him as high as #25 or no later than #44.

So if Raji is indeed there at #44, of course you pick him at #25 and select Delmas at #44.

If Raji is already gone? You pick Delmas at #25 and select NT Ron Brace at pick #44, with Caldwell probably going to be there at #57.

But if you select Caldwell at #57, then you have to select Pat White at #89. If Barden is still there at #89, you select Barden instead of White. If Barden is gone at #89, then you select White at #89.

I think that Caldwell will be there at #57 because I think Eric Wood will be the first C taken in the late 1st round. Then Mack will be taken in teh early 2nd round and Uger and Caldwell being there in the middle of the 2nd round/early 3rd.

Ron Brace at 44 would be a horrible pick...

It all depends on free agency. We need linebackers. If we don't pick anyone else up in FA, then there is going to be one in the top three picks.

While I agree we have needs at those spots, when are we going to get some top notch CB's who can shut down some of our opponents WR's???

Next year in the draft,
unless we get pick up a FA.
