First Time Ever Mock Dolphins Draft.

This is my very first attempt at a mock draft. So I'll just stick to the Dolphins for now. Please let me know what you think. I understand that some players might not be availble where I have them drafted, but I am unfamiliar with the lower round talent.

1st. Alan Branch DT Michigan
2nd. Joe Staley T Central Michigan
2nd. Manuel Rameriz G/C Texas Tech
3rd. Aundrae Allison WR E. Carolina
4th. Kevin Kolb QB Houston
6th. Anthony Arline CB Baylor
7th. Jordan Kent WR Oregon
7th. Stephen Nicolas LB S. Florida
 
I dont like the two offensive lineman in the second round I suppose we do need a good center though so it makes sense.Alan branch is a solid choice I like kolb but I like stantons upside.

not be there at 40. You attempt to address all the needs. Would be nice to get a guy like Kolb in the 4th round. Good job.

Not bad for your first time because you addressed every area of need.

People are beginning to question Alan Branch's work ethic after he showed up looking kinda sloppy for his Pro Day. I still like this pick.

Joe Staley would be a steal at #40 and probably won't be there because of Oakland and Cleveland. If Cleveland doesn't take Thomas in the 1st, they'll probably take Staley in the 2nd if Oakland doesn't.

Manuel Ramirez could be that OG we have been missing.

Aundrae Allison has a lot of work to do but will provide another speedster for the offense. He had the fastest 10/20 split of all the WRs at the Combine.

Kevin Kolb missed his Pro Day weigh-in because he was meeting with a Dolphins coach. :) So there is probably a lot of interest there.

Stephen Nicolas is a player I really like.
 
I like the pick of Jordan Kent. If memory serves, he's a big WR & the son of The Ducks hoop coach.

The only position not addressed is TE. Perhaps, Coats (BYU) and/or Herrian (Nebraska) as UDFA?

Kevin Kolb won't last that long, and Okoye doesn't really fit our defense.

I may not agree with the players you selected, but I do agree with the "positions" you selected.. You have 3 lineman in the first 3 picks... We need lineman !! Every team in our division has better lineman than the dolphins..

Miami needs to get great players on the line of scrimmage once and for all .. This is where a good team starts IMO .. The emphasis of this draft HAS to be on the front lines ..

You know I really would prefer Alan Branch as well, I just wanted to throw another option out there. I think Branch would fit our scheme better as well

I agree on Kolb. Definitely think he has moved up into the 3rd round. On Okoye, I just think the jury is still out. Who knows what will happen with him? The kid is 19. If he were to put on another 15-20 lbs., he could be the next Vince Wilfork. But I do think it is dangerous to gamble with a Top 10 pick. I'd rather take Brown or Revis/Hall over Okoye.

But nice draft . . . especially your modified one.
 
I have a question? Does anyone think that players like Kevin Boss or Jordan Kent last until that late in the draft?

Kolb may very well get taken in the end of round 2 actually.
