I didnt want him either. Sixteen years at one place--your record is all you. A 142-120 record is Wanstache all over again. Just good enough to get to thr playoffs but never good enough to challenge for a title. I dont know if Chudzinski or Charmichael.orZimmer will.get us back to our heydays of Csonka or Marino, but I'm confident Jeff Fisher will not. I see this as a.bullet dodged, although it will likely take several.seasons before most people see that clearly.

I don't want 9-7 mediocrity every year; I want to build a great team. If that takes some growing pain years and.hiring a coordinator as head coach a.few times until.we find the right.guy, so be it.
 
Not going to lie, I wanted Fisher from the get-go. I will admit that I was turned off with how long this took - sure, he had to weigh a lot of things but this dragged and dragged.

Anyway, on to the next plan. Hopefully they have a good one.
 
Good! Now they need to fire the ginger so they can turn this thing around with a fresh new coach and gm!

Wow, life is over as we know it huh!? C'mon let's step off the ledge here and assess the situation. You have no idea if the team has interviewed Chud or not. Maybe the sides both agreed to keep it quiet. Let's see who our coach is before finding the roof of the highest building and jumping off

not disappointed over losing fisher. It took one of the biggest fluke plays in NFL history for him to have his one successful year in the playoffs
 
Fisher was a better fit for the rams anyway. We don't run 4-3. Who needed him screwing around with the defense. Now the Dolphins need to find a coach that can develop a Qb and make a splash in the draft.

By the reports that Ross chose Ireland over Fisher. Dont think any coach you hire will make the splash in the draft. sounds like that is your GMs job
 
Ross wouldn't budge and Fisher called his bluff.

Not to sure what Ross sees in Ireland.

Not to upset to lose Fisher, some good Assistant HCs out there looking to put their mark on a team.
