Fisher's Vision and Why Jake Left

Fisher is essentially a higher quality version of Sparano. Heck, their records were almost identical in their first 3 years as HC.

He mentioned this morning that he fell in love with Fisher and Snead's "VISION"

My guess is, Fisher basically laid out a strategy/ vision much like Sparano's ground and pound/ defensive style. Which is now pervasive in the NFC West. And let's face it for a tackle like Jake who was never very comfortable with a ZBS he probably decided it was a better career move.

If this is why he left, (basically not being up to the challenge of the WCO) then I'm glad.

Good riddance, have fun finishing 3rd place in the NFC West and getting in the Pro Bowl, while the Fins are in the playoffs

He's injury prone right now, just wait until he starts playing on that field turf. I dont see him finishing any season.

Rams have it going on huh?

Not sure if you read the entire post, but they have a lot going on at this point between FA money and the draft, but I also said it would not matter much based on the division.

Coach Mediocre batted less than .500 in winning seasons now over 18years, would have still been coaching TN as a bottom-feeder if Bud Adams didn't kick him to the curb and hired Baby Schotty as his OC who got run out of The Meadowlands. The verdict's out on Bradford, not even taking into account whether he turns out to be a China Doll in the long run and the ownership has the team traveling to London thru 2014, essentially winnowing down their homegames to 7 and throwing in trans-Atlantic travel as well. With SF and Seattle both reloading, good luck to the Rams sniffing a WC for the foreseeable future.

Well baby shotty offense was ranked higher than Mike Sherman's this year

Typical though. If we resigned Jake Long people would be saying how smart Ireland was by letting him test market and if we dont get him well he wasnt that good anyway lol

He fell in love with slightly more money. Period.

Thats usually the basic fact of free agency people go with the money. Mike Wallace went to highest bidder, Ellerbee hell went to the way highest bidder. Wheeler highest bidder.
People like to read way too much into why people sign when its usually very simple

The Rams will not surpass Seattle or SF in the next few years. Sam Bradford is not the answer

The players are reminded often, this is a business. Why people on message boards, do not understand this IDK.

Then some fans act like the players disrespected them for some reason when nothing about the nfl has to do with respect. Hell Karlos Dansby found out he was cut by an outside source, hell Chad Johnson was cut with more class.

Just goes to show the utter ignorance of some people. Like feelings matter. My favorite line here at FH....HOMETOWN DISCOUNT. Love it. Like people actually believe the nonsense they spew.

Dansby is the perfect example of the business side. It is what it is. I accepted this long ago.

wow...25th vs 27th ranked offense, and that's with a seasoned 3rd yr QB, 3 competent receivers vs our natural #2 drawing top covererage and leggo my eggo and of course with Steven Jackson vs Reggie. Really good job little schotty!!!

Here was Fisher's Vision: "Jake, we're going to pay you $34 million dollars."

Jake "That's a beautiful vision..."

Don't over think this one, it was so about the money, as it should be for him and his family...

Brian Schottenheimer is not a bad offensive coordinator. People think he sucks because he couldn't fix Mark Sanchez, but the truth is that he got that ****ty Jets offense to play well in the playoffs 2 years in a row, and he had a big hand in the development of Drew Brees as an NFL quarterback.

He did good work with Bradford this year, too. Just because junc and the guys at Gang Green think he sucks for not magically turning Mark Sanchez into a good NFL quarterback, does not mean he's a bad OC.

Well a receiving corp of Chris Givens, Danny Amendola and Brandon Gibson was nothing special either although Givens would have been a much smarter draft choice for us than ignoring wr last year.
Kind of funny how anybody that does better in any way always has an excuse. Welker is only good because of Brady, RG3 only excelled because he has studs on offense. And now St Louis has so much talent on offense. We did have alot in common with St Louis in that neither of these teams had a true number one receiver
