I don't want Tua on the field early in the season, so I hope this goes better than his second years with the Bucs and Jets. 'Fitzmagic' hype in year one, but fell totally flat in year two.
Thats definitely the right decision. Even tho we all knew it was happening. Gives Tua time to continue to heal as well as learn the position and playbook so by the end of the season and into next year he's ready and dominate and can lead our team!
I figured he would be the week 1 starter. The real question is how long will it be before Tua takes over?
No surprise at all. It was probably going to be impossible for Tua to unseat Fitzpatrick, short of an injury to Fitz.
Fitz did not almost get beat out by Rosen, it was a matter of putting Rosen in to see what they had, and obviously it wasn’t much. If Fitz was that bad and Tua isn’t ready to go week one they would have kept Rosen for the time being.Fitzpatrick isnt a good QB, he nearly got beat out by Rosen twice last year. Tua's time is approaching like a speeding train.
Its just about introducing him at the right time rather than throwing him in against what many view as the greatest coach of all time before he has even played a preseason snap. Our first two games are against the Pats and Bills, it would be crazy to throw Tua in against them
