4-Allow WR Kenny Stills to leave. If the Dolphins re-sign Landry (or at least intend to do so), there's not much of a case for locking up Stills.

I still don't understand why people want this gone, I mean he totally completes the offense. His emergence and Ajayi's totally transformed the offense last year. Unless he's like totally overpaid, he should be back.

I want Stills to stay but if he wants too much money I will not shed any tears if he leaves. Unfortunately he is not the most important cog in the machine.

If they let Stills walk, who will replace him? The deep ball this past season was finally a success; why would anyone in their right mind do away with it? I can see replacing Stills with a cheaper option if they can produce, but no one currently on the roster can replace him. And, it makes no sense to spend another high draft pick on a WR. If you take away the deep ball, then they'll be left with that dink-and-dunk garbage that didn't work for Philbin/Lazor and won't work for Gase.

OK to let Stills leave, ONLY if they can get a seam threat TE. Only then can they really expand their offense and put pressure on a defense.

I think people have just become accustom to talent leaving Miami that they are lost if it doesn't happen in the off-season.

I get the business side of letting Stills walk and finding a comparable replacement at cheaper price BUT

I'm tired of the fins taking a step back to try and take two steps forward. Lets just take another step forward and resign Stills.

If they can work out a reasonable contract, that would be a mistake. Miami needs to stop letting talent go except when their players get huge contracts from somewhere else. Stills is our only deep threat and is a young talented player. Tanny has a ton of chemistry with him.

Some moves make sense, but not all. It seems like a very 'outside looking in' sort of over-generalization. For instance, I suspect the market for Branch will be more robust than the author believes. That means we may be talking about numbers that make that choice quite iffy. Also, it appears Stills wants to be here, and is willing to consider a hometown discount, so it might make sense for him to stay. But, these types of decisions only really make sense if you learn a little more about our situation and the individual free agents, which is hard for someone to do if they're covering 32 different teams at the same time. So, I'm sure he knows about the situations of Darrelle Revis, Jimmy Garrappolo, Tyrod Taylor and Ryan Tannehill, but he obviously doesn't know the situation for all of the lower tier free agents like Branch and Stills.

As usual, I'm not inclined to take advice from generalists who don't really know the Dolphins or our situations. Unfortunately, our beat writers, who should know, don't always exhibit knowledge or sincerity at it either. Thank goodness we still have Barry Jackson and a few who can provide a reasonable view point. This writer ... better than most, but he doesn't really know us well enough to make 5 good predictions.

Moves makes sense with the exception of making branch a priority and not a fall back

That and tannehill is not gonna be overpaid...kirk cousins is looking for andrew luck money and tannehill is overpaid? I dont think so bill...and matt moore while much cheaper is a significant down grade

In my opinion, I think we should try to upgrade from Matt Moore.

I appreciate the intangible things Moore brings to team. Good teammate and supporter of RT, leader in locker room players respect, and capable of stepping in. Why throw that away in favor of someone perceived to be better? Who you gonna get Matt Cassell or some other retread?

Me neither brother... dude totally keeps the defense honest. If people here don't think he had something to do with Ajayi's emergence then they're clueless. Of course he's not the only reason but he played a major role. Plus him and Tanne have a damn connection with each other. These people that don't want him here or are scared of signing him for too much should just remember how the damn mike Wallace project worked. You cant just plug any speedster in there and think it's going to work, they have to have a synergy with each other and these two do. to let him go now would be very moronic and plain out ****ing stupid. when you have a good thing going, you do what you can to keep it. with all of the players expected to be released, we will have more than enough money to keep him around. We have the people to offset Landry's and his pay on different years of their contracts. JC I just don't see why people think he isn't worth it!! ok, rant over! :)
