Jason Taylor will be subject to an $8,638 fine for each day of mandatory minicamps he misses, according to NFL Network's Adam Schefter.

The fines escalate to $15,116 daily in training camp. Taylor has $7.5 million in salary to work with. Schefter says Miami may opt to avoid the situation altogether and names five teams that have shown interest; the Saints, who have $25.8 million in free cap space, Eagles, Bucs, Cowboys, and Chargers. He calls Dallas the "most intriguing" landing spot, but a longshot.

C'mon Jerry make a move, you say you wanted to make a splash.

I thought the Chargers came out and said no dice. Clearly San Diego would be the easiest sell to Taylor. And as far as teams getting good value, it is possible a move to SoCal would add length to his career. More so than going to a team like Phili. Moving to and playing for a team near Hollywood would allow him more time to do side projects during the off season.

Pretty clear the Trio crapped the bed on this one going public.... they are going to have to release him or trade for donuts...

Release him or trade him for donuts? I don't think so. The team already had the chance to trade him for a fourth rounder, and said no. The Fins aren't in salary cap hell, so no desperate need to release. Taylor will show up and play, eventually, if not sooner. This team will take at worst a 2, or wait him out. Parcells and Ireland can wait him out. It's not like we're on the cusp of a Super Bowl and we need our best player back. I don't know why so many people think we need to trade a borderline hall of fame stud with time left in him to play for whatever we can get. That's NOT WHAT IS BEST FOR THE TEAM. Sometimes doing what's best is difficult. Holding out for a 1st/high 2nd is difficult. Playing hard ball with one of the best players in team history is difficult. But it's what's best for the team, the front office knows it, and will do it. You think Parcells will blink? Ay, por favor...

Pretty clear.... by going public... they devalued what they might have gotten...

Personally I hope he plays for the Dolphins... even though I am not a huge JT fan I respect what he brings...

The Trio could have had some class... instead... they crapped the bed...

Hey where do I remember reading this stuff...? (Oh yah that stinker post starter) Where do you come up with stuff...? He ain't gonna be released..., there ain't no firesale here... This posturing is a game the FO cannot afford to lose or they may lose the atention of the entire locker room yet again..., this ain't about your "precious" but about the team..., a team that JT refuses to report to...

Where is the refusal to report.... huh

Thanks for making my case... the Trio crapped the bed by going hard and public on what should have been an in house issue... and yes the risk is all on the Trio...

I mean... after all... their actions have already COST the team as they have positioned themsleves to potentially lose value from a JT trade...

As previously stated... I'm no JT fan... although I respect what he brings...

Bottom line... didn't need to happen...

Everyone who reads knows that all camps that are under the umbrella Czar BP are mandatory... just read what his former players are saying...

JT is double speak like on Mike on Mike... where he JT said he was gheading to the training facility after the dance gigf was over...

blah blah blah

And so I'm thrilled to make your case... (I don't see it...?), I guess we can consider the case closed then..., because JT is now devalued beyond any trade return..., and the donuts are getting stale... lol
