With training camp right around the corner I figured we'd turn our focus to the team for a sec. by playing a game. The point of the game is to pick one veteran offensive player/defensive player/ and one rookie from each side of the ball who you think will shine this season, and then do the same for 3 players you think will not live up to the hype. I will start first.

Sizzle

Jordan Cameron (Think he becomes Tannehill's favorite target, and the reason we overcome our redzone woes)

Jelani Jenkins (With Suh clearing up free lanes to the RB & QB I think he has a Pro Bowl type season)

Jay Ajayi (think he becomes our goaline back, and puts up some decent fantasy numbers)

Fizzle

Greg Jennings (I just don't think there will be enough balls for him to truly make an impact, and once Parker is back his role will be reduced even more)

Chris McCain (I don't think he ends up having the monster impact everyone is hyping him up to have)

Tony Lippet (Practice sqaud candidate unless he shines in preseason)

To all the Mel Kipers on the board now is your time to shine. Lol

Our opponents

Sizzle:
Chris McCain: Dude is just a straight up play maker. Made plays every time he was on the field. He admitted to not spending enough time in the playbook and that will change this season. Once he earns the coaches trust he could become a pro bowl regular.

Dallas Thomas: Yep you heard it here first. The coach love his attitude and if he is allowed to play all year at LG he will become a solid player. Moving him to OT last year was a horrible decision, he was playing well at OG before the move and will continue this year. He will never be great but he can become a very solid member of our OL, watch and see.

OV: I think with all the stars that are around him he will never see doubles and we be able to beat his man enough to put up huge numbers.

Fizzle:
Jay Ajayi: This is a player with plenty of talent but a bad fit for this offense. Add to that the amount of touches and injuries he had in college and I see him being a player that will be brought along very slowly. Damien Williams will be the backup and Jay will be 3rd string at best, and a candidate to get put on IR over some small injury so we can let him redshirt a year.

Jelani Jenkins: I think his numbers were a little higher last year than his play. I like his aggression and his coverage skills but I can't see him improving any over last year. Once teams begin to game plan for him and find his weaknesses I think you will see his numbers come back to earth.

Billy Turner: Everyone seems to have him as a lock to be a solid starter at OG. I loved his college tape but I said when we drafted him that he is a OT not a OG. He has struggled with getting low enough to gain leverage, and is easily pushed backwards. He has good feet and I think he will end up being moved back to OT. He is not a OG and I don't think he ever will be.

Sizzle

Ryan Tannehill - He drastically improves for the 4th year in a row and becomes a top 7-10 QB this season.

Oliver Vernon - He's in a contract year and will NEVER face a double team on the same defense as Wake and Suh. Look for at least 10 sacks and constant QB pressure from him.

Jarvis Landry - I call him the black Wes Welker. 90 + catches, 1,000 + yards 6 + TDs.

Fizzle

Greg Jennings - Don't see him being much more than depth and veteran leadership. I love the 3 guys in front of him.

Cam Wake - I love the guy, but unfortunately he's been banged up a lot the last 2 years, he's 33, and I think his best days are behind him. As mentioned earlier though, he'll still command the respect of double teams which will greatly benefit Vernon.

Dallas Thomas - He sucks and I can't believe his replacement hasn't been signed yet. Bring in Mathis today for the love of Christ.
