So does anyone think that this Flo drama (whether true or not) is going to have an effect on any coaching prospects possible backing out or losing interest? Why work for a "possibly" dysfunctional owner/GM/system when there are other options?

Prospects will certainly see the outgoing Flo as a disgruntled biatch.

They will likely be more concerned with the level of opportunity that the Fins HC position affords.

And that opportunity is large, in monetary terms, roster makeup, future draft capital, salary cap room and the fact that the position will likely be a “level up” for any candidate. This is not a lateral move here.

Maybe. I think it possibly delays the process of the search, but hopefully not to the point that we miss out on the best option.

What other options will a guy like McDaniel have other than to return to SF?

As far as McDaniel I dont think he is being interviewed by any other team. So, if he really wants to be a head coach this drama should not affect his decision if he is offered the job.

I think there is a chance McDaniels turns us down. I posted that in the other thread.

There are reasons to take a job ($, prestige to name a few) but it’s also possible a coach doesn’t want to work in a dysfunctional organization and doesn’t want to take a job where this will be the media focus every day for the foreseeable future. Every candidate is different and it remains to be seen, but it is a concern.

If McDaniel wants the job it’s probably his know, I can’t see them giving it to JH with all this stuff going on.

New coach should understand that if he is offered job that phins keep setting example of giving minorities opportunities to coach just like flo got opportunity. Just want to ensure tua gets the support and system to succeed

As an aside, I hope Miami doesn't lose draft picks over this.

I also hope the NFL can do a better job with equity. Flores definitely has a good point there.
