The Dolphins are happy with Justin Smiley and like the potential of Donald Thomas at the other guard position. But with both coming off injuries, the Dolphins are expected to add at least one guard through the draft, free agency or both. The Dolphins privately have discussed moving Satele to guard, but it's also possible he could be traded.

The Dolphins have three picks in the first two rounds (25,44,56) and will study offensive linemen closely when the NFL Combine begins Wednesday. Among centers, California's Alex Mack (316 pounds) and Oregon's Max Unger (305) are considered late-first or early-second round picks, and Arkansas' Jonathan Luigs (314) would be a second-round option. Maryland's Edwin Williams (315) also bears monitoring.

i think it all depends on carey leaving if they go with o line on one of those picks, any way you could still get a good one in the later rounds, i.e. thomas

The last time I wanted a particular center more than I want Mack now was Olin Kreutz in 1998. I will never get over JJ trading out of the late 2nd, when on the clock, and Kreutz still on the board.
