Florida to switch time zones?

they approved the time change thing. no more time change. but this is about time zone which would put florida in its own time zone. supremely stupid

Oh I thought that's what this was about. That's what I get for not reading the op, :dead. So they did they approve no more time change? That's great.
 
Monday night football would start at 9:30 pm when the rest of the country falls back. That would suck.

It's been approved by governor Scott but needs federal Congress approval. Federal government determined time zones. Also observing day light savings year round needs federal approval.
 
No state has been independently able to observe day light savings year round. I don't federal Congress allows FL to be first.
 
I believe there is one state out west that currently does not represent day light savings time.
