The MVP award is by far one of the stupidest awards given out. Year in and Year out its given to the guy with the best numbers not the guy who is the most valuable.
In my oppinion to properly judge an MVP candidate they should ask themselves a few questions.
1. If I take this player out of their team will their team be as effective?
2. Once they have a list of potential candidates, they should then ask themselves, which one of these players was the most important to their teams sucess.
Peyton, Favre, Brady and many other QB's have always had the luxury of playing with a great cast of players around them. While I cant deny they are awesome QB's, they show to be much better because of the people around them.
RB's are the same sauce as above. 1 RB has a great year and automatically they are considered to be a canidate for the MVP Award.
