Florio really hates us

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2015/03/04/miami-may-emerge-as-the-major-player-for-suh/

Although he pretty much speaks the truth in this article, does that guy ever not take a shot at us every chance he gets? lol I wonder the reason he despises us so much.

On the other hand, I can care less how much he hates us if we somehow get Suh.

I don't see how anyone could get that impression based on what he wrote.

reading comprehension isn't what it used to be....:D

He is the same smarmy, pencil neck about everything. He only has one POV, a cynical one

I'm not clicking on the link. What did he say?

he didn't say anything bad. just that we haven't been relevant since Marino and that Suh could help bring some excitement back to the franchise.

I see nothing wrong with him saying that.

That first comment tho

most of the posters on PFT are tools. When we finally do make the playoffs, they'll find something else about the Dolphins to complain about.

I think he is referring to this bit...
There’s one team that remains somewhat nationally relevant thanks to a pair of Super Bowl trophies from the ’70s and the exploits of players like Dan Marino. But with one playoff appearance since 2002, an annual sense of 8-8-at-best malaise, an owner who has wanted to recharge the franchise since getting the keys to it, and a new executive V.P. of football operations who may be looking to make a splash, keep a close eye on the Miami Dolphins as a potential destination for Suh.

There’s talk that the Dolphins will emerge as the leaders for Suh, and that teams like the Raiders, Jaguars, and Buccaneers are being floated not as serious candidates but as leverage. Ultimately, it may come down to the Dolphins bidding against themselves as Suh and Sexton try to set the bar for defensive players as high as they can.

I don't see anything wrong with what he said really.

Ozzy rules!!

again :bobdole:

We always do that and end up paying more because of it. That said Suh would make the team better so i'm ok with the move even if it is reminiscent of Tannebaum's all in approach that got the Jet into the mess they've been the last few years.
Let the bean counters earn their pay and figure out the finances.

Agree Florio is a tool.

I forget where I read it, but I remember reading that Florio had a bit of a bitter feeling towards how we "handled" Pat White with him being a huge West Virginia fanboy. Dunno if that's true at all

But the thing to remember about Florio is he always kind of takes potshots like that at most teams.
