all this talk of, "the finz are low balling flynn".

so, what exactly IS low balling flynn?

i ask this to all, what is your opinion of a LOW BALL offer? what is your number as far as HIGH BALL offer?

and finally, what do you think the finz SHOULD sign him for?

MYSELF...............

LOW BALL: 1.5 MILL A YEAR-2 MILL A YEAR WITH NO BIG ESCELATORS.

HIGH BALL: ANYTHING 4 MILL A YEAR AND OVER. ESCELATORS OR NOT.

FAIR CONTRACT: 2.5 MIL A YEAR, ESCELATED TO 3 MIL IF HE WINS STARTING JOB AND PLAYS MORE THAN 75% OF THE GAMES AND HAS MORE TD'S THAN INT'S. A 1.5 MIL BONUS SHOULD HE TAKE THE TEAM TO THE PLAYOFFS.

PLEASE SPARE US ALL the endless fights about how great flynn is or horrible he is. we have an endless amount of debates on this in half dozen other threads. JUST THE NUMBERS PLEASE!!!

High Ball - $10 million/year

Low Ball - $5 million/year

Your High Ball ($4 Mill) won't even get a sniff from Flynn....not for a starting NFL QB.

Low ball at $5m, far to high im looking at $5m for starting...............

You know what reports of us low balling are ****ing bull****. When we have a price for a player its low balling, but I just read an article about Brandon Lloyd going to NE and NE wants him to take his asking price down. The head line reads "Patriots want Brandon Lloyd to lower his asking price". Why the hell doesnt it say "Patriots Are Low-Balling Brandon Lloyd" ? Screw the media.

Starting? You mean the guy who's been a backup since he was in High School?

It really doesn't matter what he's been, because he's getting that kind of money from the Seahawks so we're going to have to go for that money.

I don't really want Flynn but I wouldn't mind getting him for a good price.

wasnt looking for debates. 400 other threads debating flynn.

what is the lo/hi ball numbers opinion?

dont care what folks think if he is a starter/backup whatever.

the finz are reputed as LOW BALLING him, people are griping....................

SO WHATS A LOW BALL? WHATS A HIGH BALL?

Normally when you are negotiating for something you start off low. You can always go up but once your up you don't come back down.
Also at this moment the Peyton situation can also have an effect. If 49's sign Pay-a-ton they release their QB who the Seahawks have been drooling for.... thus price for Flynn could be significantly lower. (Hasselbeck could be in play with Titans ) something both sides have to be considering in there decision....
If Flynn leaves and we lose out then depending on what he was requiring we can bitch about a lo-ball offer but at present they are negotiating a contract
Negotiate :To confer with another or others in order to come to terms or reach an agreement

At this point, he is worth no more that an average starting qb in the league, perhaps a tad lower. He isnt worth as much as some people seem. If we land him, then I guess it takes a qb off the draft list for us.
