Its not that big of a blow to the 9'ers , Remember they did draft a guy for the future last season and made a trade to get him . Gave up 3 picks to get Kaepernick. So its not like it wasnt in the future for smith to be peaced out anyway.

Not only that, there is a FA QB in Tampa named Josh Johnson who probably turns a 49er the minute Smith signs somewhere else. They (Harbaugh and Johnson) have had much success in college before . . . the 49ers aren't hurting nearly as bad as people will believe if they lose Smith
 
ughhhh...I'm honestly not sold on Smith....he didnt turn the ball over which is great but he didnt score a whole lot....Didn't Akers set the FG record?

Yep. On front page of Espn. Does this mean Flynn sucks or dolphins managent sucks?
 
Well either the fins just lost a prolonged game of poker with Flynn or they simply werent that high on the guy.

I choose the latter since the Flynn always made the most sense if he was the guy. Clearly Philbin and Co. didn't think so. Philbin is hitching his career on this so I am inclined to believe him.

Whether Smith has a elite ceiling or not we can all agree that he is a better option than Flynn.
 
guys joe philbin knows matt flynn better than anybody else here. if we didn't sign him it was for a reason, besides look at flynn's film and he doesn't look very impressive. alex smith has more potential than flynn, hopefully we can sign him
 
I know I dont believe it neither until its done deal cuz we havent been able to get anythin done lately.
 
This will only end when ireland comes to realize that a STARTING NFL QB WILL make over $7 Million per year, no matter what.

Anything less is acorn money... in other words, it's NUTS.
 
you have to pay for a starter no matter who it is, even matt moore is going to cost that in a year
