Do you think because of our HC and OC that flynn would be there first choice?

I think because of our new HC and OC they will know whether it is best that Flynn is Miami's first choice or not.

If Manning is healthy there is no situation where Flynn is better. A more accurate way to say it would for Flynn our situation>any other situation b/c of our HC and OC. We are the best option for him but he may not be the best for us.

I think that Ross wants to sell seats, manning would be the answer.

Manning at 75% = Pennington without the experience of how to deal with the short-passing game.

if you are interested in winning now- manning>flynn
if you are interested in watching a qb develop-flynn>manning

personally, im tired of waiting for qbs to develop, id rather use up whats left in mannings tank.

Sustained winning would be the answer.

Manning will be Pennington, Part Deux. Possibly a nice season or two, then right back where we started.

And if Marino were 20 years younger, he'd be the choice. But he's not, and Manning's not healthy. He's just not. And nobody can say with any certainty that he ever will be.

I believe either would be better than what we've had in a long time

Ozzy rules!!

Flynn: 1.5 excellent impressive showings against unimpressive defensive backfields, strong supporting cast, good GB QB-developing background, terrible LSU QB lineage, 7th round pick for a reason, allegedly weaker than avg arm strength
= crapshoot. Fifty/fifty on whether he turns out "Hero or Zero." I'd bet even money either way.

Peyton: better than almost everyone else, field general and on field offensive coordinator, will put butts in the seats and energize a fed up fanbase. If a)he gets approved by reputable docs retained by the Fins, b)demonstrates throwing velocity and c)restructures his contract as he allegedly will do to be incentive based, it's a friggin NO BRainer!!! Especially if he can bring Garcon with him.

Hell, Manning could bring A **** he took last week with him and I'd still be ecstatic.

The point is that MANNING doesn't have to develop, and as to FLYNN, he better be developed, because he's been in a good situation for 4 years already. If he isn't developed by now, he never will be. All this upside stuff is a lot of crapola as to FLYNN. Sooner or later, you have to fish or cut bait. For QBs, it's the 4th or 5th year, tops. FLYNN has had 2 good games. He better have a lot more...IMMEDIATELY. No more "development": either he's solid or a bust. And if Coach PHILBIN wants him, fine...so long as PHILBIN undeerstands that if FLYNN turns out to be a bust BOTH of their heads will roll.

You guys are disappointing. How could you even compare a guy that has played all of two good games to a future HOF like Manning. What you guys forget is that Manning's skills haven't declined, he got injured. Last I saw him playing, he was one of the best Qb's in all of football and you have the nerve to compare (<>=) Flynn to him. Football Blasphemy.

Manning absolutely must develop - last I heard, he couldn't throw a pass over 20 yards!

As for the last point, that's what's exciting to me- if Philbin takes Flynn, he knows he's betting his job on him. That means the guy best suited to evaluate Flynn is willing to go all in on him. That would be the best outcome, IMO.
