We have some good support wrs for him, davone bess is as a great slot wr and hartline is not a bad #2 either, hopefully gates steps up now and makes a name for himself next year now that he will get more chances since B marsh is gone. With that said, i think we need a true #1 now. I dont know much about the wr class in this draft so lets talk about it here. Who do we target in the draft? be realistic, blackmon wont make it past the rams at #6 so we can rule him out. I looked at some highlights of michael floyd but im not sold on him yet, what other options are out there in the draft? I think miamis main focus now has to be the WR positions in the draft, it should be our main priority. We need to get flynn a nice Greg jennings/ colston type toys to play with down in miami.

I was all for maybe taking claiborne from lsu and getting us another playmaker on defense but im in the soapbox right now, i really am starting to see that being a gm must be a tough job, and i think jeff ireland has done a good job with his first draft alone at the position. If you were the gm of the dolphin what would you do with miamis 1st round pick if miami were to land flynn in the next few days/ hours???

If your in the soapbox who's on top of it?

If you want to talk draft you should visit the draft forum. Plenty of talk in there about all positions including WR.

If your sold on Blackmon, you should be sold on Floyd. He's the best WR in this draft and is only rated lower because A. He wasn't in the pass happy offense that Blackmon was in B. His QB wasn't as good as Blackmon's C. He has off the field problems that are alcohol related.

The biggest obstacle is Jacksonville snatching him before us or Philbin/Ireland not thrilled with going WR in the first round.

Philbin doesn't design his offense around the #1 wr. He designs his passing attack on multiple weapons. I don't expect to see one guy get the lions share of catchs. We do need another weapon though.

You really think Floyd will go that high? He is projected 15-20 by most. I don't know as much about him as you do, but if there is any off the field problems, that can only benefit us.

^ This...WRBC

I think it might be better to trade down and take several really good WR's...I don't think we necessarily have to go with one main guy? Bess, Hartline and Gates should be on next year's roster....I would add a couple guys like Mohamed Sanu, Stephen Hill or Joe Adams.

We don't have any weapons so they better get to work.

I honestly think he could. He made some bad decisions with alcohol and driving drunk, but with everything that I'm hearing he really interviewed well at the combine and it has been over a year since his last incident with alcohol. I understand putting him in Miami is a risk, but sometimes people mature and maybe Floyd has. The talent is there . . . No question.

Personally I don't think he exits the top 15. It would be a mistake if Miami traded down expecting him to be there. If they really like him like I do, then they take him at 8. If they like him and like a group of 3 or 4 players similarly . . . then trading down could be an option.

what the ???? we are talking miami dolphins football in general, not just the draft.

We don't need a number one anymore. Who's the Giants #1? Who's GB's #1? We just need solid WR's who can catch and separate....some speed would help too :)

TE is more important in the WCO so GM will be looking to snag TE and WR in second and third rounds. If we trade down, look for TE or passs rusher in the first. If no trade down draft a pass rusher to win the division.

We want to rush four or five pass rushers against Brady. Two DEs (wake and ? )with pass rushing ability abd OLB (?) coming off the edge or either edge. We already have good pass rushers on the inside of the line.
