Flynn needs a #1 WR, who does miami go after??

We don't need a number one anymore. Who's the Giants #1? Who's GB's #1? We just need solid WR's
who can catch....some speed would help too :)

Hakeem Nicks and Greg Jennings. It definitely doesn't hurt to have either one of those guys as your #1. Even more important because we don't have the QB those teams have.

Giants - Hakeem Nicks
GB - Greg Jennings

TE is more important in the WCO so GM will be looking to snag TE and WR in second and third rounds. If we trade down, look for TE or passs rusher in the first. If no trade down draft a pass rusher to win the division.

We want to rush four or five pass rushers against Brady. Two DEs (wake and ? )with pass rushing ability abd OLB (?) coming off the edge or either edge. We already have good pass rushers on the inside of the line.

Which is why I really hope we sign Anderson. Signing Anderson gives us Starks/Odrick/Merling/Wake/Anderson as 5 guys who can get to the passer, and we still would have Dansby and Burnett at LB. Drafting a pass rusher is fine, but I don't think it is a necessity if you are able to get a situational guy like Anderson.

Guys like Floyd and Blackmon have the chance to make an immediate impact, and we need immediate impact guys.

Our WRs will come from the Draft. I expect atleast 2 WRs drafted maybe even 3.

Micheal Floyd should be our target. He would be great in a WCO.

I knew who the guys were - it was a rhetorical question. Even though those guys are number ones they aren't beasts IMO - just very solid, top-notch WRs.

IMO, a #1 WR is Andre Johnson, Calvin Johnson, Larry Fitzgerald, Brandon Marshall, Vincent Jackson, Dez Bryant, Kenny Britt, Steve Johnson, etc....if you lose these guys off your team, you are hurt. If the Giants lose Nicks, or if GB loses Jennings...you can just plug another body in and both teams will still kill you with their passing games.

They can still kill you because of their QB. If you put Megatron on New England and he goes down, you still have Brady. If you take Fitz off of Zona, their passing game turns anemic because they "don't" have Brady.

And I think many people would put Jennings in their top 10 and arguably Nicks . . these definitely aren't no named WRs. Brady became a BEAST with Randy Moss, broke all kind of records . . . the philosophy that we "don't" need a #1 WR doesn't mean adding one won't be a solid decision, it would. I damn sure would take one over a these short, small armed pass rushers and RT's people are throwing at the #8. Get a playmaker with that pick.

You consider Dez Bryant, Kenny Britt and freaking Stevie Johnson as #1's but not Hakeem Nicks or Jennings? smh

i take jennings as my number one over stevie johnson and BM (and probably dez and kenny britt).

Tommy Streeter is an acorn. Lol. No but seriously. I watched every miami gam and I think he can be good. He just had a terrible QB. Can get him late 2nd or 3rd. Wouldnt mind getting floyd and streeter 1st and 3rd rounds.

I'm a Rutgers fan so I am biased with Britt and I think Stevie has major upside - I like his game....but yes, Nicks and Jennings are #1's. Jennings is a monster IMO but if he were in Miami, he wouldn't be a stud. Rodgers is helping his numbers tremendously.

I also wanted us to draft Nicks but of course, we never seem to draft playmakers when we are in the top ten.

I think this is a joke. Greg Jennings is one of the very best wrs in the league.

if michael flyod is there he would be a good option, but if claiborne is there we must take him

I agree with you.

I think we should go after a WR everybody is forgetting about...Steve Smith! 2 years ago Smith had 1200 yards. Injuries have slowed him since, but I think his size (5'11" 195lbs.) and style of play fit the scheme Philbin is bringing. Smith and a WR in the first 2 rounds gives Flynn enough options, if he indeed does sign.
