Flynn to Miami talk heating up already

Wait, so you didn't want Philbin because he can bring in a QB and offensive system that may actually succeed? No guarantees, but there is no denying the possibility. What, you want a guy who cries in the media about the FO of a potential first time HC gig handcuffing him to Bowles in McCoy and a QB whose price may be unrealistically too high to get and who has never played an NFL game in RG3? Now that makes me SMH.
Hey you can't put a price tag on success. And whatever that price tag is the dolphins need to pay it. All the great ones do. I would give Give up three drafts to solve our Qb problem.

Those wr were wide open, he didn't make any difficult throws, wait till they get some game tape on him. Ryan Fitz2.0! But you keep looking at fantasy stats!!!

And of course there's some sarcasm here. But enough is enough trade up.

Only one of those six TD passes was a really nice QB throw. The other five were easy throws where the WR made nice plays and Detroit missed tackles. First pass was a sideline pass behind the line of scrimmage where the WR did ALL the work. The second was a short dumpoff that was taken to the house. The third was a floating duck that didn't impress me at all. The fourth pass was a very nice long ball down the middle of the field. The fifth was a 1o yard dumpoff that was turned into a TD. The sixth was a 5 yard slant into the endzone that anyone could have thrown. Not really sure this one good outing ensures that he's the next franchise QB. I'm hoping they don't over pay for Flynn and that they still draft a first or second round QB.

There you go introducing facts to those who didn't watch a single second of his performance...

Same **** goes on with people saying RG3 when they didn't watch any Baylor games...

We don't have the same type of recivers as Greenbay =[ we need speed/deep threat

Hell yeah, what he said !!! And please and Thank you !!! lmao !!!
Yes!! More than willing to take the gamble on Flynn. All he cost is money...and it's not mine so I don't give a ****.

But yea give me a QB who threw 6 TD's in a game. Please and thank you...

You will never convince some of these guys on this board. They complain about a guy has shown nothing because he has only 2 NFL starts, but are willing to give up a crapload of draft picks to move up for a guy who has NO NFL starts. Doesn't make sense..

So, we are gonna go ahead and say Fitzpatrick sucks because he struggled the second half of the season? That's silly...

I don't know if I would go as far as to say Fitzpatrick sucks, but I definitely think he will prove to not be worth the contract Buffalo gave him. It looked to me like the league figured out how to properly defend against their offense and once they did, it was game over. Can Fitz rebound? Maybe. He still won't be worth that amount of money, though.

If Philbin thinks enough of the kid to hitch his job and reputation to him, then I'll be pretty comfortable with him.

this is the main thing in my eyes, we have a coach that actually has to know Flynn very well (and IF we land Flynn and he didn't pan out that would be on Philbin, in some way... but that's way too hypothetical now, I know )

ps sorry for my bad English

Admittedly, I didn' get to see the Packers/Lions game. I just watched the clip posted here. I though at least 3 of the throws were pretty good. But this doesn't show the whole game. I mean, obviously, we can't grade him on just 6 throws. But the guy threw for over 400 yards, and 6 TD's. I don't expect the guy to be perfect. But we only have so many options at QB. And with Philbin as our coach, who better to assess whether Flynn is worth the money or not? He will advise whether we go after him, or stick w/ what we have. If they don't, we can pretty much assume that Philbin doesn't think he has the tools to be a Franchise guy. If we do, then I have no doubt we will be the frontrunner for his services. Either way, I have no doubt that Ross will give him every advantage to get a Franchise QB in Miami, sooner rather than later.

Either way, I trust Philbin's opinion far more than I trust those of any fan on any message board.

I have no confidence that Flynn is more than a career backup. The throw down the middle was well behind the WR. The other TDs were 80 yd screen and short passes that the WRs made the play. We don't have the WRs that GB has. So nobody should expect those types of games until we starting getting those types of playmakers. And I was not high on our new coach either. But all that being said I would hate to look back on Flynn like we do Brees. We have a shot to bring in Flynn to compete with Moore and let the best man win. If anyone knows Flynn it is Philbin. I am starting to warm up to Philbin and will support him til he gives us reasons not to. So if he is willing to put his future on the line for Flynn then I would have to think Flynn is better than what little tape I have seen of him, which isn't too good IMO.

If we get Flynn I will pull for him because he is a dolphin, and if we don't get him I will have to believe it is because Philbin knows best. If Philbin really wants him I am pretty sure he will be a dolphin.
