There appears to be some concern about Flynn resigning with team after he becomes free agent next year. Why not approach them this year. If you like Flynn? At least Green Bay would get something for him.

The source is from the NFLNetwork game on tonight.
 
I'd be worried that Flynn is another AJ Feely. Looks like Packers O is very QB friendly

Since were suppost to run a west coast style offense don't you think Matt Flynn would do good if he's incorporated into this offense?

I think they will still want more than the FO will bargain for 2nd-3rd rounder.
 
hey a.j feeley was 10/14 for 100 yards tonight lets just get him back haha... good point on the flynn situation tho. I don't know if the FO is still in the market for a qb, but my take is the worse Henne or any Miami QB plays the higher the asking price. If trading partners think were desperate, their going to ask us to overcompensate and I hope we don't fall into that trap

I agree at this point we need to watch the waiver wire through the rest of the preseason but I don't think we should over pay in a trade for a QB IMO.
 
agreed there no need to overpay we probably won't beat out the jets and pats this year anyway. We need to bring in another talent and let him moore and henne compete and see if we have anythin. so that if they dont pan out we can go a diff direction next year for a qb

Right the jets offense is so scary with speedsters Burress and mason with that amazing qb under center and that hof rb who shows up in huge games down late in the season.
 
He didn't look good today he looked even worse then what we have .

He does have upside but I won't break the bank for him.

I wonder if Tampa bay will trade Josh Johnson as well.

I could have sworn Josh Johnson was a baseball player hehehehehehe jk i know who you meant.
 
No more trading picks for other teams' backups. We need to just ride out this season with Robocop and draft a real QB next year.
 
I would love to get flynn! He looks really solid, alot like rodgers in favres last season with the pacs. I think the pacs would accept perhaps a 3rd and 6th rounder for Flynn and a 7th considering he will leave for nothing at the end of the year otherwise. He is now entering his 4th season in the NFL so he is far enough along in his development to really perform right away. I know alot of people here are predicting doom and gloom this season but the reality is we have a D that is good enough alone to get us 7-10 wins so we simply are not going to be in the hunt for luck or barkley. The time is now to have a go at a qb whose ready! This D is not going to be around forever, this opportunity is not going to be around forever.
 
omg noooooo! being from wisconsin ive seen him play ALOT....apparently u guys didnt see him play against det last year...it was pretty bad to watch....has a very weak arm....i remember jennings went deep and was wide open. flynn under throw him by 10 yards and it was only a 40 yard pass. i think he could be another aj feely and anyone remember that clown throwing 5 picks against the bills....ya i would say NOOOOOOOOO to flynn!
 
Enough trading for other teams back ups. Draft and develop.
