Flynn's red zone production. All snaps results.

you guys are way off the mark with this money stuff and flynn...i've tried to explain it multiple times...the guaranteed money is what matters...those $10-15 mil per year numbers are bogus...only way flynn would sniff all the actual money in the contract is if he's legit...otherwise within a few years provided you don't botch the contract up he's cut no big deal

and unless flynn has no market there's no way he'll get/accept only a 3 year deal...if he does his agent blows...the shorter the deal the less guaranteed money and less cut the agent gets

what deal do you think he will get? I thought my 6 year 50 mil with 14 mil guaranteed was very possible.

i think his agent is gonna look at kevin kolb money as a starting point...7 years $63 mil $21 mil guaranteed...and depending on what kind of true interest he has around the league it will work off of that...could be a little more guaranteed could be a little less...i'll be shocked if he gets less than $15 mil guaranteed

but if you front load the guaranteed money in 2012 as much as you can within your cap constraints you can eat up a large piece of that guaranteed money in year one...and fellas all your eyes should be on the guaranteed money and the base salary in the first few years of the deal...unless we are cap morons in the front office drawing up the contract you will be allowed to get out within a few years and he'll never sniff 2/3rds of that contract...

now i will say this though...if dan snyder gets involved in washington he could blow other teams guaranteed money out the water...if it gets over $25 mil guaranteed i'd walk away...but realize fellas this is the top free agent qb on the market and in free agency YOU ALWAYS OVERPAY for a hot commodity...just a matter of how much

While I do agree we may have to overpay, most people think Kolb's contract was a huge mistake at this point, so the market may correct itself based upon that.

My limit also would be around $25 mil guaranteed, so we wouldn't have a major cap hit if he doesn't work out.

FLYNN'S RED ZONE PRODUCTION IN PRACTICE: ...oh wait only our HC has those numbers...

Guess what, people? You don't know more than Philbin about football. PEOPLE NEED TO STOP COMPLAINING ABOUT A MOVE THAT HASN'T EVEN HAPPENED YET! I'm not saying follow Philbin blindly, but have some FAITH that the guy knows what he has in Flynn! If it happens it happens and you posting on a board ain't gonna do SH*T to stop it! And if it doesn't happen IT DOESN'T HAPPEN.

kevin kolbs contract has only been a huge mistake cause of what the cards have gotten out of him to date...if he was playin even top 12 qb ball that money would be a bargain...

good luck seeing the market correct itself...

Not sure what point your making by this but the biggest stat that stands out is the YPA. Flynn is almost a full yard better. Anything less then 7 is not impressive at all.
My point is Campbell had worse conditions and still managed to compete at a high level. In washington he only had Santana Moss to throw to and had to bear that horrible Jim Zorn era. Once he got to oakland we all know the black hole is where most careers are ruined and he manged to compete. Matt Flynn was the benefactor of Green Bays personel and still when I watch the game film isn't that impressive compared to what Campbell is capable of.

All I can say is to try watching the tape again... Unless you are seeing something different than what just about every other person on the planet has seen, than I don't understand how you arrived at your stance on this.

Matt Flynn has such a weak arm and if not for his WR/TE Corp I doubt his 7 yard average would even be apart of your argument.

Its like this, Tom Brady makes his WR/TE corp look good but Matt Flynn's WR/TE corp made HIM look decent.

I can see you aren't going to go back and rewatch any games, so I suppose this discussion is realistically over.

Well, thankfully we have a coach who worked with Flynn for the past 3 years making that decision. I just don't get why we would all speculate whether Flynn is an upgrade over Moore. We will see soon enough once FA happens. If the Phins sign him, you know Philbin has faith to pay big money to a guy that will basically make or break his only head coaching opportunity.

Not necessarily. Philbin is under pressure to draft a QB. We'll probably miss on Luck and RG3, the dropoff in potential from them is biiig. Tannehill is too raw to start. Manning may not be healthy.

We've declared we're going after a QB a year too late. After the guys we've no chance to land, the pickings are slim. So, if Philbin gets Flynn all it says to me is that he rates Flynn a higher likelihood starter this year than Tannehill, Weeden, Cousins or whoever. It doens't prove to me that Flynn is a strong potential franchise QB, only that he's the best guy Philbin could get.

He got carried hard by his receivers in the Detroit game, get ready for some orton red zone choking.

You can keep making that point to try to down him in every thread you can find, but do you not realize that those are the same receivers that "carry" Rodgers ever week and he never has had that kind of game? He was afforded the same benefits as Rodgers gets every week. I'm not saying he is a perennial pro bowler but quit denying what he did as some fluke.
