Some think if we get boldin it stops there...I think otherwise. I expect 2 WR via trade, FA, or draft to be on this roster that weren't last year.

That meets with our theme of going hard at the problem positions. In 2008 we took 2 DEs (second and third round) and signed one in free agency. In 2009 we drafted corners in the 1st and 2nd and signed one in free agency. This year looks like we're going to go heavy on receiver and linebacker. I'm expecting 3 of each added in either trades, high draft picks or notable FA signings.

We tried to double up on receivers last year in the 3rd and 4th rounds. Not gonna happen again.

just because 1 failed 1 didn't doesnt mean we are set at WR...

Front office better make it a priority to find a nose tackle or we're in trouble again. Soliai is backup material at best.

Yeah we need a NT bad, but LB is were we really need the help. Get Dansby in FA and draft McClain (if he is still there @ #12) or trade down for more draft picks. So then we can get another pick or two in the upcoming draft.

if we get Dans and McC where does CC go? I'd trade him for a 3rd if notI'd go with Graham at SOLB.

Interesting, depending on what we get on FA, we will go on the draft, if get Dansby, we will get Dez if available on the first, if we get Boldin or Marshall, we can get Mclain if available, anything else will surprise me, I'd rather Dez and Dansby personally.

Trust me.....I know we are not set at WR. In fact, we are one of the worst in the entire league. But the fact remains we took two last year fairly high in the draft. I doubt they cut Turner after one year. They worked with Austin for a while in Dallas. I know Turner was a 3rd rounder and should not have so many issues but I don't see them getting rid of him yet.

Bess is on the roster next year.
Hartline is on the roster next year.
Camarillo should be on the roster next year. The guy catches everything and is cheap. He is a good 4th or 5th receiver.
Ginn has some advantages but I could see him sent packing.

I think 1 WR spot is all there is room for on the roster. With TE being so important I doubt they carry 6 WR on the roster.

I bet one WR and at least one TE this year.

Im confident in Mike Nolan..whatever he does with the D I'll trust..(look at his track record)...and as far as the Offense...a couple WR's a NT and a RG...and a new offensive game plan...Henne has a rocket lets use it!

I didnt know the NT can play on the offensive side........

Maybe Pat White can play NT for the offense. :chuckle:

Dansby + drafted ILB (hopefully McClain) = your new ILB duo

Channing gets traded for a mid-rounder.

WR addressed by trading for Boldin and possibly drafting a mid to late rounder.

NT addressed in 2nd round (hopefully someone decent is still on the board).

Which one failed? Are you talking about a rookie in P.Turner? He failed? That's news to me! I didn't know if you don't produce right away then you have failed, is that new in the NFL? Since when do players not get a chance to develope anymore? I don't get it, the guy needs some more time to develope. He's far from a failure and I'd be shocked if there was more then 1 WR brought in via FA or the draft. Our receiver core is not as bad as people here are trying to make it, I guess being blinded by this #1 infatuation makes the rest of our player look bad!

Good point! Parcell consistently uses this strategy. It is well known that hitting on more than two draft picks in one draft defines a good draft. It is difficult to have above a 60% hit ratio in first and second rounds. Free agency is under 40%. Even this strategy does not guarantee you hit, but it does maximize your chances.
