I have some questions regarding recent issues with the team that do not involve Ricky Williams. They are:

What is the extent of Goodman's injury? If serious will Miami pursue another db?

Will the Dolphins offer Malone or Lofton a contract?

How do the Dolphins feel about their rookie offensive linemen and where will they play them (C, OG)? This concerns the undrafted guys in addition to the two drafted guys.

Are the Dolphins finished trading veterans or cutting veterans?

Is Trent Green still in the picture?

There has been some discussion of Chatman, but what about the kid from North Texas, Cobb?

I haven't seen a good analysis of what Miami thought of the first mini camp yet. Just random comments. Anyone hear what they really thought of their initial contact with their new guys?

Beck versus Quinn versus Ginn, Ricky Williams, and Trent Green have kinda dominated the news on the Dolphin front, but I would like to know more about these kind of questions?

This may give some insight, at least to your second to last question.

Just say NO to Favre!

Trent Green is a better option for what we want. Favre isn't even that great anymore. The last couple of seasons he has exhibited about two good games a year followed up with tons of inconsistancy. Besides that he is not the model we want developing Beck. Beck is more of a cerebral game manager whereas Favre is a gunslinger.

Maybe ur right, but think about it as a teacher for Beck i think that im not the only one that will take Favre over Green.
Favre is a hall of fame Green dont even make it to Hawaii

Not correct. Green has been to Hawaii many times. No Green is not a hall of famer, but Favre would not help Beck at all. Favre forces passes he shouldn't (and has his whole career.) Favre not only is not a better qb at this point in his career, but he also is absolutely not the right kind of teacher for Beck. Just because he is going to the hall doesn't mean he fits our needs. Favre is simply name fixation.

That will never happen in 10 billion years. He is GreenBay there would be a fan revolt. Anyhow Farve admited he doesn't really want to be traded. He was just frustrated they didn't make a better effort to get Moss.

I don't want Green or Favre. Both of them are has beens and not good for much of anything on this team. The Dolphins have a young offense that needs to learn together. The scrap heap quarterbacks era must come to an end. I would roll with Cleo Lemon for the first part of the season, and if he fails, filter Beck in. Beck's clock is already ticking, because he is old coming in. Most quarterbacks are near their prime at 26, he'll be just starting out. Having Green or Favre in the mix will stop the development of these other young quarterbacks. I am not a fan of throwing quarterbacks to the wolves, but Cleo deserves his chance, and Beck must start soon if he is going to be worth anything. Daunte is done. I know he was hurt last year, but he also made poor decisions, did not have Randy Moss, and looked like a shell of his former self.

Well, About the O line men I think they will be pretty good. Having the talent to play it is one thing, but Cam picked up line men who want to play at higher level for fun and opportunity, not just for fame and fortune. I am more excited about the FB we picked up more than anything. Imagine the holes he and Schlesin...whatever his name is can do for our running game. The dolphins won't have to worry about the pass so much if we can stack up the running game.

Here is my assesment of the Miami Dolphins and the areas we need to tighten up before the season.

QB- It seems like every year this position is one big mystery. Cleo has shown some promise but he's played in 2 games which can't be enough to determine whether or not he can start in the NFL. We need a guy with some starting experience in the NFL that can man the ship until Beck is ready. Alot of people on this website seem to not want Trent Green because he's old or whatever. Say what you will about him but he's probably our best option to the start the season off at QB. There is still some glimmer of hope that Dante is going to recover from his injury but even if he does he still has a ton of work to do to play well.

O-line- Another area that always seems to be a question mark for the Miami Dolphins. There's some talent on the line but i don't think it's enough to be a dominant unit week in and week out. My prediction is one week you will see the protection be outstanding and other weeks not so great. Probably the most important position on the line will be Vernon Carey and the ability for him to play LT. Most of the other areas can be filled a little easier than LT so don't be surprised if you see some rookies being put on the interior line.

DBs- Did not seem like we did much to improve this area of the team even though they gave up a ton of big plays. Will Allen is solid but not great sometimes getting beat by bigger receivers. Andre Goodman is apparently hurt which is already hurting our secondary and Travis Daniels who played pretty good his rookie season didn't have a good year last year. Y.Bell is a playmaker at times but has some coverage problems and Jason Allen didn't even play. Secondary dosen't look so good...

I see the same thing , good analysis of our state of our team and postions that are ???.

Favre is out of the picture, he made a statement today that he does not want to be traded. The Packers head coach said he wouldn't even consider trading Favre

At the end of the day, the one and only position that will most dramatically impact wins and loses this year is QUARTERBAAAAAAAAAAAACK!

You can protect with formation and play selection.
You can run the ball with formation and play selection.
You can do almost anything relatively well with any position except
QUARTERBAAAAAAAAAACK!

WHO WILL PLAY QB? HERE WE ARE COUPLE MONTHS AWAY FROM PRESEASON AND NO QB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Puulease dont say Lemon.
