We are a fickle nation, quick to dimiss failure and embrace success. So when other NFL teams fans may call us as erractic fans....We are only like any other American fan with the aspiration of wanting our favorite team to do well...This is the American way... When teams prove themselfs as a champion, we will love them forever, overlooking murder raps and drug busts and spousal abuse..But fall short on the field, and we may forgive, no matter how you conduct yourself away from the game... As for Ricky Williams he has now entered a new arena.. The field of criticism... So Ricky, consider how it will feel to live as an answer to a triva question, the punch line to a joke, synonym for for former NFL star gone up through his smokes... Or puff the dreadless wonder... The measure of a man should no more be his worst moments than it should be the color of his skin or the cut of his suit... It is how we deal with those moments that makes us who we are, and that is the most American measure success: to fail once, to pick yourself up and try again. We are a nation of losers made good, descendants of those who settled here in search of a second chance. To fail is not American, it is human. But it is American to overcome that failure....

Nah. Rickys a bum who deserted his team at the last second. He is a yellow coward. I will never wear his jersey again and neither will my son. I will throw it in tommorrows trash and take out my Bob Griese jersey and remember the good times of the fins. Not the embrassment this organization has become. So ricky, go on your overseas trip and hopefully you will get stranded there to never return. Goodbye forever ricky. You have failed the team that took a chance on you. And to the fans that have supported you.

You don't seem to understand, he doesn't care what people think. He doesn't care if he's a punchline to a joke, or if people scoff him, or any of that stuff. He only cares about what he believes in. Face it, wether you'd like to admit it or not, Ricky is an individual, not some mindless drone who see's his only opportunity in life is to play football. He wants to live his life the way he wants, he wants freedom, just let him have it in peace already.
