I was reading through some of the reality check threads regarding the state of the Fins, and it brought to mind something that Jimmy Encephalitis said last year regarding people criticizing TS's coaching and also the Daboll hire. He said something to the effect that the people who were doing the criticizing were not "Football People", and as such really did not know what they were talking about, he also said that "Football People" had high regard for TSs and Dabolls' abilities.
My question is who are these "football people"? Are they people who look like footballs, could they be the people who design, manufacture and sell footballs? And if they are so smart, when it comes to football, is there any way we, the Great Unwashed Group of fans could get just an iota of this football knowledge? Oh I forgot, we are not "Football People", so we should just shut up, pay for the tickets, parking, $10 beer, and cheer when the sign tells us to cheer. What arrogance, and this is the same attitude shown by that Stinking Rotten Tuna, Nicky Satan, Jimmay, and yes even the vaunted Tony "Spandex" Sporono.
It is funny to me when the crap sandwich gets passed around, and someone says, hey Moron I'm not eating that crap sandwich, and someone replies, why you are not a sandwich person, how dare you criticize this fine healthy sandwich. I am not talking about the S for Luck concept, IMHO it will take more than a QB to pull this team out of the gutter, I am talking about the realities that anyone, with an unbiased view can plainly see, this team is in disarray, I hope they win every week, but as time goes on the probabilities get worse instead of better. TS is losing the team, and once the players lose respect for the coach, the effort gets flushed. So how can a realist be called a Debbie Downer, the problems are as plain as the Green Lizard in Mad Dogs hand.
And another thing, if Jimmy Encephalitis had bought into a mutual fund that lost 100% per year, I guess since he is a football person and not a mutual fund person he would not be critical of the management either. Even after he found out that the fund weighted 89% of its cash in a new IPO/start up called Samirs BBQ Barn, that was going to open a chain of Pork BBQ joints in Saudi Arabia and Iran, and all their pigs would be farmed locally Syria. Oh no Jimboni, don't you dare say a word. Even here on the Finheaven Site I cannot understand why fans have soo much trouble facing the realities of what has been going on for years now. Fat Tuna, TS, and Jeff "Irish Whiskey" Ireland do not know how to run a football team, it is very simple.
So do I hope they win tomorrow, yes, will I be surprised if they lose, unfortunately, no.
