Seasoned Veteran
I can't wait for this season.
We have all the tools necessary to be successful and have a great season.
We have perhaps the best coaching staff in football. Nick Saban proved that he can succeed in the NFL. We also boast two former head coaches as coordinators, no other team can say that.
We have an Elite QB in Culpepper, a three time pro bowler who is big, strong, fast, accurate, and who can throw one hell of a deep ball. He's a franchise QB, our franchise QB. Oh, by the way, he's only 29.
We have a rising star at running back in Ronnie Brown. I have no doubt that Ronnie will be able to carry the load. Like some coach in New England famous for his eye for talent once said, he is the next Tomlinson.
We have a talented receiving corps that includes a ProBowl WR in Chambers, a solid Veteran in Booker, and a promising rookie in Hagan. Not too mention the depth we have with Campbell and Welker.
McMike is solid at the TE position. He is a good blocker and has very good hands. His only knock is that he is at times inconsistent. With Cpep he'll have his best year and reach the potential that we all know he has.
Our line is very well coached and now has a little more talent with the addition of Shelton and a little more depth with Pearson. Carey should also get better.
Our secondary sucked last year, but we have added some playmakers. Jason Allen and Will Poole are just that and under the tutalage of Saban, those two will flourish along with Will Allen. Travis Daniels will also grow in his sophmore season. This year we also added some depth at the position. Let's not forget that this is Saban's specialty.
Our LB's are solid. Zach will be Zach, Crowder will only get better, and Hodge and Spragan are serviceable vets.
Our Dline is solid and has a good combination of young talent in Manny Wright and Matt Roth and veteran leadership and experience with JT. We were second in the NFL last season in sacks. I believe this year, in their second season together, they will only improve. The addition of Wilkinson would be nice for some added depth because some of the fellas at this position could use a rest from time to time.
All in all I think we have an excellent team. We have talent in the right positions and are very well coached. We have playmakers at every position. This season there will be no QB controversies, no December swoons, and no other BS that has plagued this team in recent years.
Get ready my fellow dolfans, we are in for a great year. My fins are good, I'm getting married in two weeks, going to my first home game in Nov. (wedding present from my lovely fiance which also included an authentic Cpep jersey), and playing semipro football for the Long Island Panthers.
So, are you ready for some Dolphin football??? Let me know what you think.
