Football starts tonight !

Denver starting QB: Trevor Siemian.

Carolina starting QB: Cam Newton.

Carolina.

Gut says Carolina. Head says Siemian will be alright+ Insane Denver defense.

Going with my gut....

Carolina. Newton should be in the top form of his career, Benjamin is back, and he has his favorite target Olsen.

Carolina tackles: Remmers and Oher (same as SB)
Denver DE's: Miller & Ware (same as SB)

Denver's defense won't be AS dominant as 2015 but they are still a match-up nightmare for Carolina's offense. The team will be honored to start the game as Cam Newton crawls back into his head and relives the defeat that had him crying and storming off at the press conference.

Denver is weakened by the loss of Trevathon and Malik Jackson but not that much.

Cam has never won in Denver and will start 2 rookie CB's to defend Demaryius Thomas & Emmanuel Sanders.

Or it will go the other way. LOL

I'm going to go with Denver. Home field and that D. I wonder how that affected Cam's mind losing the Super Bowl. I say Denver wins 22-20.

Yep. This.

Yeah, and I'm always the first guy to point out the fallacies in QBWinz. But Carolina and Denver both have great defenses (edge to Denver). Both should have strong rushing attacks this season. Both teams have quality special teams units. I think that both teams are well coached (edge to Denver).

But one team's quarterback has never started an NFL game before, and wasn't a great prospect coming out of college. The other team's quarterback is coming off of an MVP caliber season and wants payback. Can't ignore that.

Can that Qb be any worse than Peyton manning 2015? I give the coaching edge to Denver because of Wade Phillips.

I think it'll be a close game with Denver's D plus homefield a factor. I just can't see Siemian over Newton. Pulling for Carolina too just so I can see the Bronco fans around here start to lose their ****.

Yes, absolutely. It's my Curtis Painter Theory. There's a point at which quarterback play goes from being bad to downright unacceptable.

Examples of quarterbacks I have seen playing in the NFL recently who simply give their team NO CHANCE to win without a defensive or special teams score: Jimmy Clausen, Curtis Painter, Seth Lobato. Even Peyton Manning and Matt Schaub, two quarterbacks who now have serious physical limitations, can at least process information and make a few plays to score points, avoid turnovers, or sometimes both.

I think that Trevor Siemian is probably going to wind up being one of those guys who falls into the 'downright unacceptable' category. I could be wrong, but that's what I predict.

I suspect Carolina given the QB and that works well for the Phins as I always route for the NFC team going against AFC playoff hopefuls.

I'd like to see Denver win because they're more likely to lose throughout the season then Carolina. Gotta protect perfectville! But my gut says Carolina.
