Two simple questions:

- Are you ready to go through another 2-3 years of "rebuilding"? Because cleaning house will imply that much.

- Who is really available? Both at GM and HC, since you want to start fresh.

BTW be ready to lose Nolan too (who btw is getting zero accountability for the crappy defense).

Why do people think it will take "2-3" years to do anything. That make's zero sense. Rex Ryan got his quaterback, and in his first year went to the AFC championship. Get a coach in here, he get's his QB, and with the talent already around hi we have a decade of dominace.

Who cares about rebuilding? It's better than losing without the right pieces and not getting better for the future than losing but on the right path. Rebuilding will hopefully get us back on the right track. There's plenty of options out there that trump Sparano and Ireland. Finally who cares about losing Nolan. His defenses aren't doing anything, not even creating turnovers.

Well technically we have yet to be built! Yes I will gladly welcome a new coach and gm, and every staff member not on the Parcells tree. Nolan can gtfo too our d was so overrated last year and it is exposed.

Cowher is my top choice

/thread.

We have been rebuilding for over a decade, in year 4 of this regime they are still rebuilding...seriously, what is the point of keeping these guys if they never improve? Clean House even if it means restoring hope.

Because right now, all hope is gone

Rex inherited a pretty damn good defense. That is what carries the Jets. He also has a pretty damn good tight end and two solid wideouts. Miami doesn't have a solid defense, a consistent tight end, nor do we have a number 2 wideout. Add to the fact that a new coach usually means the exodus of old players from the previous regime, namely qb and other players that don't fit the scheme of the new coach.

Ryan, fell into a much better situation than a new coach would find in Miami. Also if we blew the organization up and were actually able to draft Luck, we are implying he would be able to handle the NFL game like Sanchez turned out to do. That is a rarity....

Rex Ryan's success has *nothing* to do with Sanchez, and everything to do with his D.

But you're missing the point; are you ready to go through all that? Again?

Youre abolutely correct. If we get the right coach, we will be competitive in year 1. Only coahces that dont know what theyre doing need a 2-3 year rebuilding plan.

As to the first point, are you saying the Dolphins aren't getting better for the future? With the whole youth movement going on around here?

As to the second point, you aren't really answering anything... who is out there who is:

1) Noticeably better
2) Available
3) Willing

?

I am ready for a new coach and ready to go through "all that", whatever all that is. Are you ready to go through more continuous losing seasons if they kept the current inept head coach?

There hasn't been any "rebuilding" here for at least two years - just short term moves with the misguided aim of staying in a job for a few weeks longer

You do realize it took Cowher 13 years to win a Superbowl, right? And that Pittsburgh continues to be successful after he left, which points to Dick Lebeau's defenses being the main reason for their success?

Anything is better than 4 more years of this.

All this is the current FO's fault... neglecting to get what the Jets have by going the cornfed route. Miami should be where Detroit is now... 2 years ago. First and foremost the new FO HAS to build this team to be able to not only compete with NE put to beat them on a consistent basis.
