Some people here think we could be back to form, JT seems thinks so. I think he knows a little more then some of the nasayers that post here. I think going .500 is improvement enough for me that was and is my prediction. This shows that Saban knows what he is doing

I think it was, sporting news, but don't hold me to that it was a spread of all the rookies who will make an immediate impact.
 
JT said the same thing after Ricky left last year....I don't blame him, but we can't just go by what he says. I agree with him though, but I agreed with him last year too...I'm such a homer
 
I am expecting alot better than .500 I am aiming high this year. I hope every team is underestimating us just like the media.

hes gunna say that he expects to chalange for the SB.

its common sence.

but being realistic, i predict 7-9.
 
Cmon dont be too much of a homer I mean if u put ur hope up like way to high for example Miami will be 11-5 and win the division. That is VERY unlikely because of three things, a.) Saban is new to the NFL, b.) It is a rebuilding year, lots of new faces, c.) TOUGH DIVISION. Also going .500 is a great improvement from last years mess. Now if by some miracle we go 10-6 or possibl 11-5 yes I will be happy for us and act like i never said we would go .500 but that is just the way I look at it.

Realistic and hopeful are two VERY different things..... I REALIZE that this team has many, many question marks (QB, OL, DB, New system, etc) and thus I lower my expectations. I DON"T expect them to make the playoffs this year. I expect them to be better than the 4-12 record they posted last year. You expect this team to make the playoffs with basically the same talent that was here in the Wanny era, the same talent that MISSED the playoffs even before last year's debacle! That alone makes me wonder how good the talent really is.

Now, I am hopeful that all those question marks DO come to full fruition and we do make the playoffs. I completely agree that I am more optimistic this year than in years past simply because Wanny is no longer here, but I am not ready to make Saban a GOD since he hasn't even won a game yet! Thus, I will NOT sit on this board and spew all sorts of "RAH RAH" material simply because my heart says so. If that makes me a bad fan in YOUR eyes then so be it. I'd rather reserve expectations and be pleasently surprised than be Gung Ho and have a the major let down we all suffered last year.

Not to mention the TOUGHEST schedule in the NFL this year!

No, actually he was pretty upset with what Ricky did.

Think of it this way, Ricky is back, we have a better coaching staff, and at worse as good a QB problem as we had 2 years ago when we won 10 games.

No, instead what he would have done is stay quiet. He believes in this team, and there might be a reason why, same as there might be a reason why you do not want to believe him. :D
 
ive a dolfan my whole life and im not going to sit here and say that were going to go to hte playoffs or anything. were in the toughest division in the NFL, weve got a new coach to the NFL, new playbook on O and D, and not to mention two liftime backups trying to become our starter(yes i know they have the potential to be great and all) which is never good.
my prediction is 8-8 or 9-7 which is a great improvement from last year, but the playoffs,.. not yet, next year is a diff. story
