There is a question mark on both Ricky and Ronnie, so I think we should keep both. Also Ricky is playing for a big money contract once he gets it he could go back to his old ways. And lets not forget there is the age factor
Ronnie 27, Ricky 31. I think we would be stupid not to keep both , Just my thoughts.

Ricky will never get a big contract even if he rushes for 2000 yards. He'll be lucky to get more than a 2year deal from any team in the NFL. We all have enjoyed watching Ronnie play and will continue to do so if he's still on this team. If he's traded for a top end wr then we're better off in the long run and that's the most important thing here.

Ronnie Brown is not 27, he's 26.

Ok but what if Ricky blows out his knee this year, who do we have to back him up ,,, Cobbs ? Parmele? we already gave up a great prospect in L Booker.

Ronnie was the leagues leading rusher last year until he went down with the injury.

First, I am a huge Ronnie fan. Bill Parcells builds winning football teams by building outstanding offensive and defensive lines. Even superstar skill players are available for a price with BP running the FO. I agree with him. If someone is willing to pay enough (make us a better team) for Ronnie, then I regretfully agree with trading him.

And He did that with a crappy O line!!!!!

Yes sir!

Anyone coming off a injury like Ronnie experienced is going to have some psychological issues when running. If you ever had a knee injury and play sports you know that everytime you plant that foot in the back of your head you are thinking it could possibly give way again. When you throw in rehab and trying to get up to speed it's going to set you back.

Ricky is a great backup and is starting caliber. We've established (for those of you that have short memories) that Ricky has burned 2 coaches already, and is not trustworthy. Ricky is filling in for Ronnie until. he returns and I expect them both to split carries 50/50.

The R&R is the strength of this team and will continue to be even though we have Penninton. The running game will allow our passing game to open up.

IMHO: Ricky would be traded before Ronnie seeing he has a year left on his contract and is much older. For all we know we could be showcasing Ricky for a trade.

Morth threw crap against the wall to see if it sticks. :shakeno:

How durable was Ricky last year? How many carries did he get?

I am hoping that at least one of these backs is still healthy in December. Really dumb to get rid of either one of these guys right now.

Bill said at the beginning of the season, "i'm looking to replace all of you" don't for a minute think that ronnie is immune to bills quest to better the team.

I dunno about giving up either of our star backs right now.

With the ability to hand the ball to either BOTH stand a better chance of staying healthy through the year.

I think we need TWO quality backs considering I am not that optimistic about our passing game.

The point is getting a top wr is worth the risk, what are we playing for this year? We're trying to get back to respectability and Ronnie could be a big piece to that if traded. L Bo was a 3rd down back that will excel in Philly's offense not in our power run game.

Our line is developing into a awesome unit and we'll be able to plunk any 2nd round pick in the backfield and have success. Ronnie is a injury prone player, he's proved that every year and if you can get a star player in return now we're way ahead of the game.

To top everything off our weakest postion by a mile is wr and RB is a much easier position to fill.

No he wasn't.

He was leading the league in yards from scrimmage (rushing + receiving), but at no point last year was he leading the league in rushing yards.

Ok so I was wrong, I can admit that. I had him on fantasy last year and he was leading all running back in points. Miami fans will jump on anyones back if they are not producing, even in preseason. When he starts ripping yards off this season we'll see everyone change their tune. Anyone on any team can be traded but I do not see anyone offering enough for Ronnie.

That was a nice video but that was also before the injury. Find me FIVE other running backs that have came back from a torn ACL and been successful.
