I live in Tampa, and was at the game. Every single Bucs fan said frerotte sucks and can't hit the broad side of a barn. They were actually laughing after his passes because he would miss by so much or totally ignore a wide open reciever. They said if we had even an average QB we would have been in the game (also if we would have even tried to run).

This morning on the radio, they said with Griese being injured, " It could be worse, we could have Gus Frerotte as our starting QB"

It's not overeacting, it's the truth. We need to find out if he is truly the best option, and if he is, we need to run the ball 40 times a game (at least). Actually we should be running 30-40 anyway.

Just think how they would have been laughing with Aj throwing int's for TD's, it could be worse!

We knew Gus Sucked before the season... but he is what we have... Besides.... This a team sport... and to me there is plenty of blame to go around

We gave Feidler 5 years we can atleast give Gus atleast one full year.We dont wanna start the musical QB's again.

Did we really need another thread with a person who just HAD to state an erroneous Gus Frerotte view. We don't care, and we don't need every person with a Gus Frerotte view to feel the need to start their own individual thread for attention.

It just sad to see how other teams view us. We may have not loved Fiedler but other teams actually respected him for his toughness and decision making.

I'm sure this wouldn't be as hot a topic if Linehan would run the ball instead of forcing Frerotte to make plays. Frerotte's sole responsibility should be to manage the game and keep teams off balance. to run the ball less than 30 times a game with our backfield is a joke.

you must have been asleep. Other teams and fans thought Fiedler was a joke as well.

Frerotte has had a few bad games. But so have a handful of other players at various positions. We're not losing because of one player, we're losing because we have issues across the board that goes beyond the players....

The mistakes / penalties are causing most of the problems. The running game never gets a chance to get going when we're constantly facing 1st and 15 or 2nd and 20. False starts and holding calls have been keeping us off the scoreboard early in games, and giving up points early has left us playing from behind in both the Bills / Bucs games. We don't seem to be the kind of team that can come from behind to win. Not this year....

We need to run the ball more on offense, and we need to get tighter in the secondary on defense. Those two areas are our keys to victory IMO, and must improve...

PHINZ RULE!!!!

Fiedler was not respected by anybody other than some Dolphin fans. He was a joke amongst every other fan. What they respected was our defense.

Your point on the offensive gameplanning is right on the money. Frerotte is throwing way too much for someone who has such poor accuracy and two dangerous backs to hand off too. Good post

We're talking about Gus,and why he needs more games under a new system(I shouldnt say new system but new team mates)..not Jays ability.....

I brought up Jay to use the example we gave Jay every opportunity, and we are giving Gus none!

But seeing you brought it up....wasnt Jay injured 3 out of his first 3 years here at some point in the season. And now injured for the Jets??

Thats tough????

i just can't believe people are blaming frerotte for everything. hes the problem for a bad running game.. and we have a bad running game beacuse of penalties. Oh its Gus's fault the defense cant get a stop on 3rd down...

There are alot of players who need to be held accountable. Our "playmakers" aren't playmaking. Just because CC made ONE nice catch doesn't mean it was a gamebreaker on the ballgame. I would trade that catch for a play where he breaks tackles and gains 20 yards. Where McMike? Big contract... Big disappointment. Ricky had more catches.

Gus has been in this system for a few years already. If he hasn't adjusted by now, he never will.

But like I said, this would be a moot point if he wasn't forced to be a playmaker, especially with the backfield we have.

You still have to adjust to the nuances of the players. CC doesn't run routes like Moss.
Where are our playmakers my friend. Where?.. who? Welker is showing up all these millions dollar stars.

Typical i want everything now fan...we have too many of them.

Even though Gus knows the system,he still has to shake off the rust,he's been warming the bench for a few years and needs to get use to his new receivers. Its funny,no one seems to talk about all the better Gus throws....just the bad ones.

If it were up to some of our fans,we would cut Gus,bench Ronnie and fire Saban in week 5 and all theys guys werent on our team last year!
