Ginn Jr over Quinn. The best thing that could've happened to MIA!

And I can't believe the fake heads that booed Cameron. That was a disgrace. Why would Cameron pick a QB that 21 teams had other players rated higher than?

Also, Cameron gets not only Tedd Ginn Jr...but he gets the QB he had rated "higher" than Quinn at #40!!! Wow!!!

Remember, Cameron is a QB EXPERT! How dare anyone second guess his bypassing the QB that 21 other teams did as well. Amazing!

That's what alcohol and irrationality put together get you...

Good job, Cameron! We have improved.

Now we need BPA's and a Punter on day 2.

So far, draft is rated an "A".

Forget the punter... I could walk-on and almost make it as a punter...

You are sooo right...see my post "booing fin fans have no class..."

Actually, I called it. Check my posts. I said that even if Quinn was there at #9 Miami would pass.

To all the so called "experts" out there, the reason Miami drafted Ginn early is this...ready? for those of you that can read here it is...

MIAMI O IS SLOW! Comprende quien mo sabe? No speed anywhere on O!

And puuleeaassse dont mention Chambers and speed in the same sentence.

The Ginn and L Booker selections along with Beck are consistent in the key attributes in the players Randy and Cam are now seeking....speed!

Miami couldn't find an open outside receiver (except Welker on occassion)' no play making ability on O, no game threats, no double coverage demanding threat at all on the outside, Ronnie Brown isn't a player that is deserving of being selected #2 a la Calvin Johnson, and Cadillac was better anyway as his rookie of the year award proved.

Beck is a better QB than Quinn. Quinn has no deep ball, poor accuracy, and inconsistent, oh, and don't forget that in the biggest game of the year he went what....uh....15 for 35, 148 yards, and 2 pics! Wow! lets draft him!

What a bunch of putzes.

Although I have to admit to being a bit confused with the Ginn pick, I am happy that we did not commit ourselves to a second rate QB. As I have said before, I did not see a big talent drop off with the QBs that were slated to go after Quinn. Stanton, Beck, Edwards...and so on, seemed just as develop capable as Quinn. Russell was clearly the more talented of the two and we were obviously not getting him. So to break it down, the only thing I saw as a more pressing need was on the O-line as I have whined about for several years. At least we go one big versatile body in the second round. I like the big Hawaiian and hope he turns out to be a starter this year. I also like the idea of getting a similar talent to Quinn in the second round because Beck's production, if you look at the numbers is actually very similar to Quinn's and he did not have as much talent surrounding him on offense from what I can see. His age is the only issue I have at all. 26 is a bit long in the tooth for a rookie, but hey, many NFL players took the first few years to mature a bit anyway before making much impact. The good thing about being a second rounder, is that the pressure will be lessened. So many Dolfans were so sold on Quinn because of the way the scouts had him rated, that they could not see that we had a QB guru(Cameron) checking checking every aspect of these guys. He met with Quinn like 4 times in the past couple of months if I am not mistaken, and I think that if Quinn was worth it, Cameron and Mueller would have pulled the trigger, don't you? I am also glad that we finally dropped the dead weight in Sammy Morris and Travis Minor and finally have a solid young speedster to compliment Brown. I would be glad to keep Ricky around one more year to have all three tear it up.I must say that for the next day of the draft, we could use a tight end that can block and catch, possibly a cornerback, a punter or one more O-lineman or D-lineman. We should take a punter though so that it will be a settled position for years to come. Go Fins!

After watching highlights of Ginn, however, I can see what Cameron sees for the future of this team and it looks pretty damn impressive.

yeah it seems barely anyone considered this even a possibility........ like mueller didnt say this was an extremely deep class for QBs...
i didnt call it so to speak but i did say there would be mass panic around here if this happened. It's all fun for me.

IMO, i will put my record of saying that we will take ginn over anyone on this site,,,,,,if your gonna toot your horn that i will too,,,if you don't mind

Well, all I can say is that I am not as proud as I was to be a Dolfan with all the fair weathered fans booing our new coach who seems genuinely committed to making us a winning team again. I am in understanding of you finding all of our fellow fan's reactions amusing, but I do not. I think Cameron knows what he is doing and deserves to have his choices speak for themselves on the field before we start booing him. All of those same fans will be praising him every time Ginn sees the end zone, and you know it. It's such a false stand to take.

Well, as I have said, I personnally had hoped for the top O-lineman on the board, but maybe that would have been a reach according to thier ratings, so, obviously that is why I am not the GM.

Great 1st day....Quinn obviously isnt that spectacular if 21 other teams passed on him........Needs on the 2nd day......TE,CB,DT,OT

We need a tight end in the 4th. That is the most pressing need.

BYU's tight end Johnny Harline is still available. Why do so few teams draft players from the same school? Is that illegal. Beck and Harline had a line from one to another.

I'm linking a couple of BYU game highlights. You'll be impressed if you sit through them. Harline is #13. Watch how he dominates Utah's Eric Weddle (#32) (San Diego's second pick--bad move by them.)

Here's the Vegas bowl. Harline got MVP. He's got some great grabs here.
