"..with the 27th pick in the 1983 draft, the miami dolphins select QB dan marino out of pittsburgh..."

you dont need a top 5 pick to get a all star

oh and notable QBs selected ahead of marino....

7 todd blackledge
15 tony eason
24 ken obrien....

all future busts. only elway and kelly turned into anything in this historic draft..... be positive, if we can go 9-7 with frerrotte we can go 11-5 with a good qb :)

It would be damn funny if we drafted a QB at the 27th pick. I could see the headlines now:

"[Insert QB's Name]: The New Marino?"

With the second overall pick in the 1998 NFL Draft, the San Diego Chargers select RYAN LEAF.

Nice socks.

Im glad we didnt tank last year. I think Saban takes Alex Smith #1 if we had it, and its too early to say he is a bust but I wouldnt touch him

hahahahah.

Anyway I'd love to have a quarterback that we can consider the next Marino.

Was OBrien truly a bust or just a decent QB? I always thought he was hammered for being the guy picked 1 spot ahead of Dan.

i think cutler fill taht role possibly due to the arm and gunslingner ability but NO CLUE on his release. any info on that?

I never heard anything bad about Cutler's release. So that might be a good thing.

O'Brien was not a bust. He was no Marino, Elway or Kelly, but he was a decent starting QB for several years and when he was running that Joe Walton offense in NY, he gave the Dolphins all they could handle and then some, several times. He made the Pro Bowl twice, he was in the top ten for passing yards four times and top ten for completions five times.

Nice socks.
:sidelol: I shouldn't laugh at someone else's misfortune, but that is too funny!

By the way did you get that picture out of Webster's Dictionary under BUST?

this whole QB thang is going to be so overblown by everyone that this site will become one big QB debate. Pick your thread, any thread.

I still have never saw any footage of Cutler .
