Did anyone see the pathetic attendance at the HOF for Aikman? :sidelol: I recorded last years HOF event...and I was there! I watched it during Aikman's speech. What a joke!!! Shows that Dan is still THE MAN!!!!! I love it!!!

I was at Marino's induction as well, but I don't know why you have to post this thread. Who cares about attendance!!! Aikman is a HOF and his speech was great. How about Rayfield Wright's speech? That was one of the great speeches IMO. You know what's a joke? This thread you started. :shakeno:
 
Just cuz Aikman didn't get the same Love Dan did doesn't mean he wasn't a great HOF QB. We don't need to put Aikman down to justify how Great Marino was. I was there last year as well and i am proad that i was, but how many fans go doesn't = how great you are. Aikman was good. not as good as Dan, but still, good.

So did I. After hearing Rayfield Wright's speech I ordered his book Wright Up Front. Last year at the HOF I purchased a DVD of all the great speeches of the past. I know I am forgetting some, but the speeches I love are: Walter Payton's, Jim Kelly's, Terry Bradshaw, Rayfield Wright's, and Dan the Man. What a great ceremony.
 
I was there last year also...and what makes great speeches are men of class...who represented themselves..the fans..and thier organizations with the utmost respect and commitment. Troy Aikman is one of those men. So was Dan. Does not mean a thing how many people are in the stands.

Who cares about attendance? It just shows you how much support/fans the Fins have. What? you can't go to Aikman's induction? Crap, he won 3 superbowls for the Cowboys! I would think that the "boys" fans would be there by the thousands!!! I'm not saying anything bad about Aikman or the class that was inducted.....I'm talking about their fan support!!! Why does everyone here have to take everything so negative!!
 
yea there was even a hall of famer sitting in a chair sleeping the whole time

I just didn't think the thread was needed. You kind of sounded like a smart @$$ (I'm not saying you are). Again, that is my opinion. Sorry if I misunderstood you.
 
Aikmen was great. You ever thought about the fact that Dallas HOF are a dime a dozen but not Dolphins HOF. I think Its more of a joke is our attandance at home game

Why wasn't the thread needed? (believe me...there are hundreds of threads here that are NOT needed!) It just shows you what a great fan base the Fins have! If you where there last year you know this. They were going to have Marino go before Young last year...and they changed their mind...because they didn't want everyone, (most people) leaving and have Steve Young talking to 100 people! As I said, this isn't a knock on Aikman (although I don't think he is a great QB) it's a knock on the "How 'bout them Cowboys!" fans that couldn't show up for their "star" QB!!!

GOOD thread showing just how loved Dan was and how great our fans are for supporting him! I too got a laugh at this years crowd compared to last years.
 
troy aikman wasnt even that good he was on a great team. he never passed for 4000 yards in a season he never got 3500 yards come on and only had 20 or more tds once and he only has 24 more tds then ints. 165 tds LOL 141 ints

Dan was the best IMO, but you shouldn't knock others. They all contributed to the great game. Aikman was like Dan, a good ambassador for the game.
