For anyone who says calm down this is one game...........

The Steelers? Really? How do you think their fans are reacting to their loss? Probably not like ours and they played worse than Miami did.
I dont see your point whatsoever????? So all of a sudden the Steelers arent on another level because they lost a game???? The Pats, Ravens and Steelers are on the next level above us. Did you not understand my post???

u would be alot more concerned if u were a steeler fan??? are u kidding me??? so u believe in moral victories huh??? to be clear AGAIN. the steelers lost ON THE ROAD. they have a history of recent success and winning teams. we lost AT HOME. so to spell it out for u when to teams are in the same divison they play one road and one home game. generally when those teams are equally matched the home team is favored and EXPECTED to hold serve at home.

therefore pittsburgh STILL gets to play baltimore AT HOME. which means even with the loss its still kinda status quo in pittsburgh. and u want to look at their schedule??? it basically the softest schedule in the nfl this year.

if u missed it, what all this means is we still play new england IN FOXBORO. we do not have a track record of recent success, and we have one of the toughest schedules in the nfl this year AGAIN.

we lost at home. the two dont even compare, and if u think steelers fans have more to be concerned about than us??? man what are u smokin??

Fantastic way to miss the entire post.

He's right, for you the only factor that truly counts is that Miami was at home and the Steelers on the road, anything else is moot. Guess it's a point of view. Not much more you can argue.

covering tightends was supposed to be a strength
the dolphins defense was suuposed to be the best thing about the miami dolphins.
brady not only played good it was one of his best performances ever
most yards for a quarterback in any monday night game are u kidding me..
OVER 517 yards and that little whitehead kid ran like zonka over 6 yards a carry..
It is not that we lost that concerns me it is how we lost
i already felt like some of the team quit and that was game 1..

Covering TEs has NEVER been a strength, it's been something for the Fins to improve on which they thought adding Burnett would do that. Over 517, or 517? Whitehead, or Woodhead? Zonka, or Csonka? 6+ ypc, or 4.9? I see a lot of exaggeration here, and I highlighted the correct answers for you. You felt like some of the team quit, or did they really? I didn't see anybody quit. I saw us continue to try and drive downfield down 21 late in the 4th. I saw the defense not give up points after we went down 21. So, I don't understand where/who you saw quit on the team.

ummm...yeah that was my point, and its kinda a big one. but no its not the only thing to take from it. we are talking steelers vs dolphins here. sparano (he of 2 consecutive losing seasons) vs tomlin (he of the super bowl ring). losing games early in the season does not bode well for success this year for miami. its something pittsburgh would have a much easier time of overcoming. this loss IS A BIG DEAL. regardless how anybody tries to spin it IT IS. we are already playing for the last wild card after one game, the way this will shape up, and if u dont believe that are u willing to bet we will beat new england in foxboro and finish with a better record than the pats???? do u think with pittsburghs and baltimores schedule we will finish ahead of them??? we are playing FOR 6TH PLACE after one week! for the opportunity to play in pittsburgh, baltimore, new england (and possibly houston) on the road in december - all teams weve had TREMENDOUS success against i might add.

So Henne stinking was because of Ireland and Sparano.

Henne finally looks like a competant QB you you guarantee it had nothing to do with Sparano? Interesting, I mean the guy only changed the Philosophy and went for a OC that fits Henne's skills and strengths. But hey, you're right, nothing to do with Sparano.

Last I checked, the Patriots are the favorites to win the SB and until 9 mins left in the game, Miami was still in it. But hey, the sky is falling of course.

Would you rathen have been the Falcons or Steelers who knew before halftime they lost the game?

So let me ask you.... Will you have the exact opposite reaction if Miami wins against Houston this week? Or will it be "It's just one game" of course if Miami wins they will need to show more then 1 game?

ummm yeah...they WILL need to show more than ONE GAME....cause we STILL lost to the pats AT HOME. if they beat new england and lost to houston it wouldnt be AS BIG a deal. that loss is like 2 losses. the ONLY way to change it is beating new england IN FOXBORO and it aint gonna happen.

and yes sparano get much credit. finally changed. finally did what weve been calling for for 3 years. COACH TO WIN! stop being a *****!! ITS TOO LATE. the culture is set. he waffled, and if they dont win early in the season - and they are not off to a good start - it will be HERE WE GO AGAIN. the pressure will mount, this team will doubt - cause they already do - his ability to lead them to wins. do guys in seattle believe in tavaris jacksons abilty to lead them to victory like the pats believe in brady??? NO CHANCE. NO MATTER WHAT THEY SAY. its the same here with this head coach. he realized his way doesnt work. for that i give him credit. but its not year one. its year 4. and he didnt get it right. and he changed. he told his team, sorry i was wrong, my way doesnt work. and they already lost faith in his way. marshall talked about it last year. ricky williams talked about it. he was great frineds with ronnie....those were the offensive leaders and thats what they thought. sparano saw from the results at the end of the year he couldnt win with this team his way and he didnt have any time. he almost got fired as it is.

i give him credit. but hes in trouble

That loss is like two losses only if we end up needing a tie breaker with NE and NYJ beats them twice. That is not likely.

If this team losses the next few games, the team could respond like you are saying. Or, they rally around him like the 07 Giants did. The 07 Giants were coming off an 8-8 season, and their coach was almost fired the year before. They also started that season 0-2, (and lost 2 the Cowboys twice) but finished second in their division and got the 6th seed in the playoffs. They ended up winning the Super Bowl.

Losing that game does not mean you are not making the playoffs anymore than winning it puts you in. It is just 1 game and a long season. A lot can happen in between.
