If our defense even plays average last night, we win. If they make one more play than they did last night we win. We win and we are all here praising hwo dominant our offense was. Sure you can talk about the QB or WR needing to do more, but the fact is we did exactly what we wanted. I pin this on the defense. They allowed a cheap, cheap, cheap field goal before the half which was HUGE. And the second half drives were so easy. And they spotted Indy a 7-0 lead by not showing up to play right from the first snap. I think we should all be worrying about our defense and not complaining about QB's or WR's.

This loss is definitely on the D IMO. If the offense hadn't been able to hold on to the ball so long, Manning might have been able to put up around 50 points on the board.

When we needed someone on D to make a play, just 1 play to win the game, they not only didn't do it, but were shredded in almost laughable fashion.

I agree this loss is on the defense. The secondary is really struggling versus good QBs. Our safeties are not making tackles, and they are being shredded by a good TE. Did you really expect this secondary to perform well at the beginning of the year.

I expected Smith and Davis may go through some rookie troubles but mainly it has been Wilson missing tackles and the linebackers also not getting the job done.

It is on the defense, but that final drive was horrible. There will be times when the Offense will have to bail out the defense, there there were many things in Miami's favor for that final drive.....

-Miami had more then 3 1/2 min, w/ 2 timeouts to drive for a TD.

-Indy's D had problems stopping Miami on Offense all game.

-Miami's Offensive line was abusing the Indy's d-line.

-Miami fans were behind the Dolphins from beginning to end.

-The Colts were without Sanders, so throwing should have been easier.

But instead, what do they do....

-No urgency to move tha ball more then 80 yards quickly.

-Used up both timeouts at points in the game where they did not need to be used.

-Ran the ball a few times, failed to Go Out of Bounds on others.

-On two big passes, niether Fasano nor Ginn, are able to make the tough catch.

Miami's defense might have been responsible for putting most of the nails on their coffin, but it was the offense that put the final one.

You can pin THIS loss on the defense...

What about the loss last week?

Where will the blame fall next week?

The week after?

It's either turnovers, offensive line, defense, receivers, offensive coordinator, defensive coordinator, quarterback, special teams.......where does it end?

The point is....I've never seen a team with such a small margin for error....and that points directly at one thing...

They can't score enough points to overcome anything....be it mistakes on defense or offense...

The whole team lacks talent....everywhere...except at running back....and the corners are just pups who have a long way to go...

These guys are the NFL's version of Georgia Tech...whether you shut the running game down or not is irrelevant.....if they're playing from behind they're toast...chalk it up...

Actually they have good talent at O-line (Need to work together better), D-line, LB (We do need a LB w/ better coverage skills), Secondary (Yes all 4 positions), RB, & QB.

Right now there is too much youth and new players on the team starting, they need to get used to each other, team concept, and how to win in the NFL....they are slowly starting to get there, the Colts are not a pushover team, and Miami dominated them, if not for horrible clock management, Miami wins last night.

Peyton Manning beat our D though. Give credit where it's due-- that guy is amazing and has 12 years of awesomeness under his belt. Our pass rush was alright but Gibril failed with his tackling. Crowder and Ayodele didn't have great coverage, but that's because Manning sold it with his hall-of-fame level skills.

if you look at it, it hasn't been the entire secondary thats looked bad. our corners have done ok against the opposing wr's. the problem has been covering Te's. its been an absolute nightmare. they'll definantly have to change something up for SD and Gates Next week
